1334 was opened by DJ Poisondwarf and Babylon Deluxe in January 2007 following the success of their first club Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, which was the first Deathrock Party in Australia.
In March 2009, DJs Bat Brains and Cicero took over running 1334 so DJ Poisondwarf and Babylon Deluxe could pursue other projects.
