After a five and a half AMAZING years, we decided to end the monthly cycle of CAGG club dates that we have had the tremendous honor of presenting to the grooviest hipsters of Southern California and from points known and unknown. From the earliest days at "The Vault" in Pomona, to the "glory years" at Miceli's basement in Hollywood, to the wonderful outdoor patio events at Crane's Hollywood Tavern, and finally, concluding at the luxurious M bar on Fountain and Vine Street, we would like to thank all those who have made Club Au-Go-Go a tremendous success over these many years--namely Tony the Tyger, Go-Go Guillermo, Adam Williams, Kimmy Shakes, Richard Black, Len Curiel, Rene La Reine (and Glen), and the many others (especially all the bands and guest DJ's) who have made this club a hotspot of cool since its inception back in 2001. After the final monthly October date, we still plan to have the occasional Club Au-Go-Go "special event," and, as always, we hope to see you all then...
All the best,
Club Au-Go-Go co-founders,
Steven "Von Heel" Hill and Dan "Electro" Melendez

LAMENTATION WALLOO
When i was a boy I was dreaming of a land A Promised land for everyone When i was a kid I was diggin n’ diggin Across the border line I was sawing the seeds of time Sun flowers, avatiah...feeling fine
My homeboy Ali was my buddy But he was playing by the other side...
So we were climing up those mountains Flyin’ high as eagles do... N’ meanwhile heads were banging On the lamentation walloo
When i was a toy I was praying with the gun I didn’t know how to read between the lines When i was a toy I was bleeding n’bleedin It was a sign of spine I was layin’ on my home grown sorrow A kind of bleeding graps of wine My homeboy Ali was my best enemy But he was burried by the other side...
