About me:
Following an extensive major refurbishment with new lighting and a much admired £80k state of the art sound system that can accommadate the very best of live bands the ever popular Cooler is back to rock!
An unpretentious and friendly venue that hosts regular club nights. Every Friday Espionage with DJ Private Britton and Saturday the best indie Alternative night in Bristol Klub Kute hosted by Dj George of the famous Kandi Club.
There are also regular live band music nights as well as the club nights which also often include a popular band act in their line up, so why not pop along and catch a live act then hit the dance floor.
If you are a unsigned band why not drop us a demo, you never know.
The cooler has 3 main nights...
New Thursday Night
Beat Surrender hosted by off beat promotions every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month. Playing host to some of the best new and upcoming bands, this night is then topped off with some fantasic DJ's playing a mix of the best: Indie/soul/punk/electro/mod classic sounds around.
Enter the Cooler for £5 or with a valid student card at a bargain price of £4.

FRIDAY – PET SOUNDS
On the 2nd and 4th Friday of every month Pet Sounds is now at the Cooler.
Pet Sounds - Its a night of music for Cool Cats and Dirty Dogs.
The night features the best emerging national bands playing alongside the cream of local acts, followed by the resident DJ's spinning Soul, Funk, New Wave, Indie and More.
Whatever songs you hear the DJ's spinning you can rest assured in knowing that its going to be some of the best records ever made.
We mix classic British tunes (take a bow The Rolling Stones, The Who, Small Faces, Kinks) with American Motown/Stax/Atlantic (say hello Jackson 5, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding)
Coupled with more recent sounds from these fair Isles (greetings from The Clash, Stone Roses, The Smiths, Blur) alongside their American contemporaries (a warm welcome from Blondie, The Pixies, The White Stripes, The Strokes)
