Producer Big Al Gonzales books this popular weekly showcase and regularly performs at Club Deluxe, in San Francisco’s historic Haight/Ashbury district. Big Al is a regular on the local comedy scene and performs around the Bay Area in clubs like The Punch Line in San Francisco, The Purple Onion, The San Jose Improv, Rooster T. Feathers and Tommy T’s, as well as in clubs around California, including the Hollywood Improv, the Laugh Factory in LA and the Ice House in Pasadena.
Twice a year Club Deluxe holds its bi-annual "Yo Mamma" contest, which also recently hosted an MTV casting show.
Club Deluxe regularly features favorites of the local comedy scene as well as national feature acts and headliners. Past performers include Doug Stanhope, Brent Weinbach, Larry "Bubbles" Brown, W. Kamau Bell, Joe Klocek, Kevin Avery, Kevin Shea, Kris Tinkle, Ryan Stout, Arj Barker, Felipe Esparza, Louis Katz, Ali Wong, Jasper Redd, Edwin San Juan, Tom Rhodes and many more!
