Picture what would happen if JOHNNY THUNDERS tuned his guitar and joined SOCIAL DISTORTION, and you get the general idea of what this young and upwardly-mobile (just signed to HELLCAT records!) L.A. outfit is all about. Come see 'em for free at the smallest club in the universe while you can!!! and, from Portland, OR... FLASPAR! With a whole new band and a whole new sound (we should be used to this by now -- FLASPAR has played Ding-a-Ling a million times, and it hasn't been the same band twice -- not even close, in fact!), these guys are the most consistently inconsistent band EVER! Also there might be another band from San Francisco or some such exotic location (not that exotic to me, I'm afraid -- I was just stranded there for a week that seemed like an eternity! And you probably didn't even notice that I wasn't at the club last week...sniff). I guess we'll find out... PLUS there's all those consarned DING-A-LING DISCIPLES OV SATAN: DJs JIMI HEY, QUIN BRAYTON, and MICKIE!!! MC DON BOLLES (I'm baaa-ack...) and intergalactic Bar-istas NO-RA (recently named QUEEN OV SPACE in a Newsweek readers poll) and the lovely Australian alien maiden, MINGY! So come and hang out with us -- for free, duh -- THIS TUESDAY, at the bestest little secret clubhouse on Earth... Have you heard of Apotemnophilia? Apparently, it is an erotic interest in being or looking like an amputee. Shanda Lear, of North Carolina, purposefully injured one of her limbs in order to force an emergency medical amputation. Dr. Harry Pitts performed the amputation and glued antlers on to his head. Dr. Pitts eventually acquired an obsessive-compulsive disorder involving raccoon feces. His sister, “Queen Jezebel,” leader of a goat worshipping cult in Baltimore, sliced off her right ear and sewed it on to her left forearm, believing it would resurrect her son from the dead and end the current global recession. A week later, her son was still dead, so she glued her arms together with industrial strength adhesive and threw an open bag of rattlesnakes into a crowded subway car. I want to put my hand in the garbage disposal. We wish you an abundance of blessings, peace, love, and happiness. The meaning of life is to live it; and love God. You’re yummy!
