About me: Function is a soul, funk & disco club at the legendary venue Jeriko in the lovely town Malmoe in South Sweden. What the club's basically about is love for incredibly brilliant rare black music from the 60's and onwards...and unrestrained dancing and partying of course! Residents are the dj's and record collectors Helena Stromdahl, Jonas "Jonte" Lindell, Jonas "Joppe" Odhner and Sebastian "Bastiano" Fonzéus. We run Function one Saturday a month and the venue's got two rooms. The main room is dedicated to northern, crossover and early modern soul, plus all sorts of great funk. The smaller room (C/O-Bar) is devoted to modern soul from the late 70's and onwards, underground disco plus soulful house. Everything we play, except some soulful house tunes from Joppe, is on shiny original vinyl.

A wild all-firing fuzz frenzy of a night with special guests from Denmark we have the amazing R'n'B ravers, David Peter & The Wilde Sect, these guys bash out raw and primitive 60's punk blues in the style of the wild 60's Danish & Swedish bands like the Namelosers, Friends and Jack & the Outlaws. Next up its Malmö's own Garage heroes, The Branded, who have returned to play a rare gig in their hometown after an extensive tour around Europe. These guys have made quite an impact on the european garage scene after many wild shows in the UK, Denmark, Germany, Italy, France, Switzerland and Greece. They have released two singles and one LP already, the new LP/CD has had great reveiws and thier label Dirty Water records are already asking for the next LP! Headliners for tonight are our very special guests the Voladoras, probably thee best all girl garage combo you will ever see. They have a great combination of wild fuzzed garage punk and 60's girl group sounds. Not to be missed if you dig that 'Girls in the garage' sound.
