No Way Back began like all great clubs; as a party for friends in a secluded all-night venue with cheap drinks and an even cheaper soundsystem. A move to Brixton’s Dog Star soon followed before a series of East London warehouse arties brought them to the back room of Chew the Fat! at The End. Residents Joe Roberts AKA Hey Joe and Mr JP spin a genre mashing mix of electro, fidget, favela funk, Baltimore club, electronic disco, rave and house before the now traditional jungle sprint-finish. They’re not embarrassed to drop the Muppets or Lionel Ritchie when the mood is right either. Past guests have included everyone from disco supremo and legendary music author Bill Brewster to face painted dark angel, Drums of Death.
