TERRORIST is a night of electronic music that happens every 2nd Friday of the month.
We aim to play and please with dance music covering all bases underground, leftfield & electronic; mixing genres like purist electro, minimal, micro, Italodisko, nu/old rave, electronica, grime, dubstep, beats n breaks, 80s electropop & 70s electronics, breakdance soundtracks, IDM, electroklash and everything inbetween.....if it fits the set we'll throw it in...expect the obscure and underground along with the classic & jurasic!
On top of this we'll have special guests every month of our fave electronic live acts & Djs to dazzle your ears...
And its still free !
Due to the overwhelming success at the last event, the kind people at The Purple Pussycat have awarded us with a monthly pitch which will now be on the second friday of every month. This now means we will not clash with with the likes of bollox, Club Brenda and Homo Electric... another great reason to have big fun every weekend of the month!
The resident terrorists are
Afi Khan
Afi is responsible for inventing the groundbreaking, cash burning MasterFloppy night.
Afi provided manchester debuts for international electronic artists to name but a few; Alexander Robotnick, Matthew Dear, Mooner Industries and Luke Vibert.
Afi's bills are paid by his film making career. Recent work has seen him collaborating with Chris Morris, Daisy Donovan, NBC and numerous Channel 4 documentaries.
Kevin Beard
Kevin achieved notoriety as the musical half of The Beards, a Manchester legend Kevin sprang into consciousness with the riotous Homoelectric. He continued to promote the night until early this year. Kevin is also an accomplished musician in his own right, recently featuring on Bruce La Bruce's latest flick.
Jamessizenbell
As the baby of the bunch James is more renowned for his work during the daytime hours as a Landscape Architect and Urban Designer, with of bits his work scattered around Manchester and the UK. However his continuous commitment to the discovery of new electronic music and almost ten years trawling the Manchester underground club scene, has finally given him the thirst for giving it go himself.
