DUCK is a concept album featuring dance music producers from Derby, UK, an emerging hot spot of original talent. It features music from already established names including Atjazz, Clyde, Christo, YSE and Bleep District (both of Rhythm Plate lineage) and a selection of up-and-coming producers that each bring their own remarkable flavours to the table.
All sales revenue from DUCK will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support and QUAD, Derby’s visual arts centre: A selfless introduction to the wealth of talent that the emerging D.E scene (Derby) has to offer.
DUCK’s artwork is as noteworthy as its music. Created on four 6ft boards by artists affiliated with acclaimed live arts organisation, Subism, the boards spell the album name. Why DUCK? Duck is a term of endearment used affectionately within the small geographical area extending mainly east from Derby.
The musical content is refreshingly varied and, like the artwork, is awash with live elements, making every track from this unique album an involving listen. Encapsulating numerous styles, from house, to downbeat, to hip hop, the dance-floors and lounges are equally and glowingly catered for.
A meeting of minds from some of Derby’s finest talents, the album also assumes an heir of Internationalism with contributing musicians and vocalists from as far and wide as Zimbabwe, Brazil and the US.
Open your ears and eyes and meet D.E. Derby. A small city with big talent. Visit www.derbyduck.co.uk to see the artwork and interludes being created, artist information and more.

Your page is back on its hilarious mode, ahahaha! Nice, nice. Looks like you've got yourself this album happenin' now. Get that shit to HMV...I'm tired of buyin' online. I don't even buy 'em, I get my friend to buy 'em for me and then she forks it over after I give the dough. I don't trust cyberspace with my credit cards. Grrrr.
Once all simmers down with "Hyper Reality", which I doubt...then perhaps..."I Quit"? =)
