About me:

What started off as a purely martial art based program, that I began developing in 1998, has now evolved into an integrated program of fitness, strength training, wellness and lifestyle coaching. People from all walks of life come to train in our studios worldwide. From world class competitive athletes, to students and housewives. What makes the CMD® program so appealing is that coaching our clients a functional mixed martial arts program is only one aspect of our coaching, helping our clients perform at their best in their lives and career is the other. I really believe we are changing the way the martial arts is viewed coached and experienced, through promoting a mindful, socially conscious approach to martial arts training- where learning what the martial arts can do for you in a positive way in your life and career is the real purpose for training! ..

Who I'd like to meet:

People who see the value of martial arts than been more than just about learning how to fight. I would love to hear from people who's lives have changed for the better through training any type of martial art style, not just mixed martial arts. I think if we all share these insights and stories that we can begin to promote a new way of looking at a practice that we all love so much!

For sure on the attend in Oregon ;).

Steve Boyd is one of my coaches, thanks again for helping me save face (mine heh) Rodney!

I look at CMD as a revolution in the approach to hands, without a doubt.

Thank you, Rodney! I really do appreciate it!

And yes, I do know a gorilla is an ape, not a monkey, as I have a minor in Primatology and love primates. I actually worked with Rhesus (Macaca mulatta) and Pigtailed ( Macaca nemestrina) Macaques for 7 1/2 years.

Unfortunately, sometimes you must utilize incorrect nomenclature when referring to some primates, as the layperson neither knows, nor cares, which is which.

Consequently, to the average person, it is more humorous to say "Professional Monkey Business," than "Professional Ape Business, " even when the reference is to the higher primates because people are more familiar with the phrase "Monkey Business."

How's that for high-brow scholarship and erudition?

On a side note, I was assisting Fabiano Scherner with a BJJ seminar in Albany, Oregon 2 weeks ago, and one of the attendees and I were talking about you and the CMD. He said if you were ever in the area, he would definitely attend.

So, I will definitely be working toward that end.

    Thanks again, Rodney.
    :)

    Hello, Rodney.

I know you don't check this very often, but I am already on here. :)

I incurred a neck injury a few weeks ago, and I am getting stingers in my arm, so I have not had the opportunity to shoot any video clips of me doing the Crazy Monkey, but I am getting better and working towards that end.

I would like to sign up for your CMD program the first week of February, if your offer still stands.

I have also started my security training, and much of it will utilize CMD techniques.

Here is the test logo. Let me know what you think. "Professional monkey business." is the motto. :)

I hope all is well. :)

    Hello, Rodney.

How are you? I just wanted to let you know I am taking my first amateur fight in March at the Full Contact Fighting Federation (FCFF), here in Portland, Oregon.

I plan on using the minimal CMD skill-set that I have.
Would you have a problem with me putting your CM logo on some part of our shirts?

Thank you for your time, have a great day! :)
