Incidently, the best time to listen to my work is 4:20 in the morning after a heavy night you need to wind down from...
ON DJ AND BREAKBEAT WORK...
Markus Schulz
Cristian Paduraru
Krafty Kuts
BT
I would say I am influenced by technology, My weapon of choise when DJ'ing is my Vaio and a scratch record. Ableton is my friend and not because it make life easy... It free's up the mind in the set to mix with precision and to be far more interesting to listen to.
ON ROCK AND DRUMMING...
On the rock side of things... There really is too many to write down!
Obviously the great Buddy Rich for the sheer "look what drummers can do" effect and the only man I've ever seen win a drum battle with Animal from the muppets
Of course if your a drummer and not mentioning John Bonham you should be shot
Tre Cool - because a love of cymbals is important
Last but by no means least Bernard 'pretty' Purdie for the important lessons learnt from his solos
Sounds Like
No one I can think of...
Im open to sugestions though, I suppose I sound like any guy that has tried to listen to as much music as possible because he has realised that to enhance your influences and inspiration will only ever make you a better producer...
In terms of DJ'ing I like to avoid the pidgon-holes people put themselves in, I have played house in a breaks set through to death metal on valentines day... I hate people knowing what their going to get and I like to keep people guessing. If your a DJ and you play the same set twice your not trying hard enough
I must say a huge thank you to Emma for taking some awesome photos for me...
Theres something about these sites... they give every person in the world with access to a computer and a phone line the ability to talk to the world.
Now dont get me wrong... this is awesome, but sometimes it can result in un-interesting opinions and people taking themselves way too seriously. I think I may fit into at least one of those headings...
Anyway... on with the introductions...
On the one side I want to talk endlessly about DJ'ing and just how much fun it is to play records for people, on the other I have the urge to whisper quietly about the benifits of smooth, downtempo, ambient music to chill out and fall asleep to...
As well as the electronica I also played drums with 'Vendettas' a heavy rock, riff lead group of gents with a huge scope of influences from 70's heavy rock to Rage Against The Machine through Jeff Buckley and Hendrix...
In truth I think everyone should have a ballence of both worlds... you should take time for the party and also make time for the recovery...
As well as being a full on music freak I also have to find time to finish a pesky degree in multimedia! O well... not long now...
I'd love to talk to you if you have the same influences of interests...
Some new pages have been put up on the web site to help newbie's to get into DJing. These can be found using the link "NEW DJ advice," there is also a Glossary. If you have time check it out and let me know what you think, it would be much appreciated :) Cheers, Mark
Dude, i had a studio to myself and a drum kit with the mics already set up...it would've been rde for me not to have recorded drums. But don't get upset, i only did the ones i could actually drum...there's LOADS I need you to do :D

Hot on the heels of last Fridays huge second birthday party at Stealth with James Zabiela, Nic Fanciulli & Lee Coombs, I've recorded a mix to celebrate Product's second birthday.
The file is a 70mb MP3 so shouldnt take long to download.
