I LOVE Karaoke, Singing, and hamming it up in general, just in case you can't tell. Music in general, hanging out with my husband, kids and grandkids, my sister and brothers and of course my dogs...
I enjoy genealogy and have been researching my family's past for over 30 years now. Writing is an old love, and one that grows on me the older I get. Who could know that research, building a credible story and providing entertainment would be such great fun!? I like to garden and go to garage sales and auctions; reading almost anything I can lay hands or eyes on, but mostly suspense, history and fantasy genres.
I would love to go back to school and get a degree in the Arts, specializing in Videography.
If there were no music, I would not be able to breathe. Everything has music in it; from the wind and the waters, to the sun and moon; life and death, grace and betrayal. Awesome movie, and nicely far away from his usual manic comedy. Robin Williams is a comic god and an amazing actor in any form: drama, comedy, animation, TV, whatever. I don't think there has been but maybe one movie of his that I can say I didn't care for, but even it had possibilities. LOL I really enjoy Whoopi Goldberg and Billy Crystal also and whether in the movies or standup, these three are so outrageous! I love comedies and action, mystery, romance and musicals.
I have really enjoyed a little-known movie featuring Alan Rickman and Mos Def called "Something The Lord Made"... Awesome movie! They must have enjoyed each other enough to keep working together, having also performed in "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy". Mos Def is also awesome in 16 Blocks with Bruce Willis. Great message in a tough film. And just how versatile is that guy? Keep it real, Mos!
I enjoy about any superheroes/comic fantasy movie, I think they are great fun, although Fantastic Four left a lot to be desired. LOL
I enjoy some dramatic stuff: Nicholson "As Good As It Gets", Hunt, "Twister". Classics, like Wizard of Oz or M*A*S*H, Musicals such as "South Pacific" or any version of Phantom of the Opera. I enjoyed Van Johnson as a kid, and fell in love with him and the white German Shepherd dog in "Kelly And Me". RIP, Van. Loved Danny Kaye and you are probably way too young to remember Danny Thomas in the movie about Gus Kahn's life. Pity-what an awesome flick!
Comedies: Any Eddie Murphy or Jackie Chan movies leave me breathless from laughing. Office Space (hello? Can you say Everyday Life?) Ok, I think you get the idea.
Now for something completely different, check this out...
OK, you've got me. I positively adore and I'm hooked on "HEROES"!!! I normally don't watch TV much, but I like American Idol when it's on; I enjoy House, that caustic bastard. Sometimes I get to watch Extreme Home Makeover, and once in a while I catch the Antique Roadshow on PBS or Meerkat Manor which my folks got me started on (Animal Planet). Could that show get any sadder? Flower! Mozart!
Sometimes, out of a sense of curiousity I'll watch John Edward or when I'm feeling particularly goth, I'll watch "Mindfreak" with Cris Angel. That's fun, freaky and tests my curiosity in otherworldly concepts. Mostly, though, there is almost always something else I would rather be doing!

Books
I have favorite authors: Patricia Cornwell is my favorite contemporary author. She writes with integrity and you can get so taken in to her stories. I like Jonathan Kellerman, John Grisham, Steven King (well, some of his are a bit too far out there, but if I feel the need to get scared sh**less, that would probably be my choice. I also adore Carol O'Connell's Mallory character. She also has some great books that don't feature Mallory, like "The Judas Child". Sad, rather tragic, but still heartfelt. If you want an interesting read check out her novels. No romance there, gang. LOL!

My parents are my heroes, and my two kids, especially after what we've survived the past 6 years. They will probably never know just how much I adore them and how proud I am of each of them, even though I try to tell them once in a while. I miss them so much since we've moved.
My husband is also my personal hero. He stood by me through the darkest, bleakest time of my life, when my son passed away. He let me hold him and hide out with him when I needed to, and eventually I began to realize that I was still breathing, still waking up every day. And he was still there.
I've been blessed to have these wonderful people in my life, and pray that will continue for years and years to come. Much of life is about family so we need to always keep that in mind. Here is an old thought I'd put down on paper quite some time ago:
