From the German homeland to the north Georgia mountains comes Crimson’ N Scarletts Vineyard. A dream of generations to produce fine farm wines is finally coming to pass as we open our tasting room and begin construction of our winery off Etowah River Road in Dawsonville.
Crimson’ N Scarletts Vineyard presents their tasting room, currently open and making all of their wines available at Scarlett’s Batch & Brews (The first installment of this venture)located at 355 Quill Drive, Suite 130, Dawsonville, GA 30534.
The tasting room is open Thursday through Saturday from 12:00pm – 6:00pm.
Glenn Ulmer, the visionary of this project, has always been apart of wine making with his family. From the time he was a small child he has been making wine with his Father and brothers. It has always been his dream to create and sell wines of his own one day thus to create a legacy for his children and their children. After several years of experimenting with wine making, Glenn and his family opened a wine and Beer making store, Scarletts Batch and Brews. During this time Glenn was able to meet others that enjoyed making wine and beer and share different concoctions and ideas. He found out that many people enjoyed the wines he was making and told him he should try his luck at selling them. This was the push he needed to make the step, which is how Crimson’ N Scarletts Vineyard was created.
With the help of his family, land was purchased and the first grapes were planted in the spring of 2008. Currently they are working on the building where they will be able to better facilitate the wine making process and share this with others. They are hoping to have this project up and running with in two years.
