About me:

I'm a writer and English professor, also father of twins, splitting time among New York and various locations in Maine. I've written seven novels and two short story collections, along with quite a bit of nonfiction--and, recently, my first comic book. Publishers Weekly once called me "an agent provocateur of escapist surrealism," which might be true part of the time. Some cover images:
