We're Coach Said Not To. With 3 albums under our whistle, a self titled EP, the P.E.E.P and Mini Series, we know what we're doing. We'll be doing it again soon at a venue near you.
Inspired by a university brochure instructing college girls how to politely preserve their honor, Coach Said Not To came together in 2002 and have built a substantial fan base in Minneapolis / St. Paul and beyond.
CSNT has been featured on MPR's The Current, on The Local Show with Chris Roberts as well as Vh1's Best Week Ever blog.
The release of two previous EPs (self-titled and P.E.E.P.) and a full-length album Mini Series , garnered national and international attention with their music featured on the Animal Planet's series Horsepower: The Road to Maclay, as well as the BBC Radio Network.
CSNT showcased at SxSW 2006 in Austin, TX.
Inspired by influential people, day jobs, and love (or a lack thereof), Coach Said Not To's story-songs bring a sense of humor to rock riffs and heart-felt lullabies alike.
Outside CSNT, Eva dances professionally and bakes amazing cakes, Linnea acts, writes and works odd jobs, Lee builds bridges and watches film noir, Annika catalogues used books, and studies urban planning and art history.
Coach... continues to write, record, search for a manager both savvy and kind, and look for opportunities to travel and play.
hey there! i think you girls seriously rock and i really need to get off my lazy butt and go buy some more of your music! plus i think it is super awesome that i have the same name as, well, Linnea. haha. keep rocking!
A belated thanks for playing a few sundays ago. Hopefully we'll have the audio ready for download soon, you guys sounded great. Sorry you didn't win any meat. Maybe next time.
Just wanted to say that "Plugged In" has the segment on youtube if you wanted to check it out. Sorry it took us so long to post it. And if you check Plugged In's myspace page or SPNN's website there are times for when the show is being played. CSNT, you are on the first episode. Thanks again! Also, I heard one of your songs played at the State Fair. Were you performing or was someone singing one of your songs? Either way, exciting.
sounded good at the fair ladies, was on my way to get a pronto pub and heard the opening for Bus Stop Birthday, thinking, is that coach??? low and behold it was.
just a heads up. that comment you received before this one, whose ever site it is from, they have been hacked into. delete the message. my step-brother had one on his page and now he has been hacked into also.
Hey guys, Just droppin' by to say Hola and invite you to check out the tunes we've posted. How long does it take to identify them? Best, The New Standards
