Guitar Dean Cooper
Coalhouse new guitarist was chosen very carefully to replace Ryan Lamb and we couldn’t have picked a better person to fill the slot..Dean Cooper found music from an early age, when at the age of 6 he was given piano lessons. 3 years later he was given his 1st electric guitar and was immediately drawn in to the blues.
Initially influenced by his fathers collection of Rolling Stones LP’s, Dean discovered and studied the whole spectrum of blues guitarists.
His main influences have been: Albert King, Albert Collins, Muddy Waters, Robert Cray, Jimmy Vaughan, Magic Sam, Otis Rush, Howlin Wolf, BB King, Buddy Guy & Junior Wells, Elmore James, Ry Cooder, Eric Clapton, SRV, and many others.
In 1994, whilst living and gigging in and around Manchester he achieved a degree in Music with honors. Since, he has toured and played with bands all over Europe, playing and learning many different styles of music including Blues, Funk, Jazz and Country music.
But it is the blues that he comes back to time and time again. With driving rhythms and soaring solos, every note is played from the heart...........................................................................................................

The Band have had so many great memories.....i'll add one a week then the website will look like its progressing !! Stuart ,Rich and the late great coalhouse guitarist Dave fowler spent the night drinking and laughing ( sometimes uncontrollably) with Roscoe Gordon and Lefty dizz...it was like going back in time...they were just brilliant and one piece of advice stuck in our memories when Roscoe talked about how everyone got on with each other and helped each other...today its alot different as bands are more insular...we always help if we can and this is a piece of the jigsaw that lets us play the blues with feeling....
Raw and Live and thats how we like it ! Recreating that distinctive early Chicago blues of the forties to the seventies....Topped with foot stomping Boogie Woogie Piano....
We are a Five piece comprising of
Harmonica, Piano, Guitar, Drums and Bass...It's a distinctive sound unlike alot of other blues bands with 3 lead instruments...you can feel the energy released as the feeling of the blues entraps the audience...
With 20 years of experience and regulars at the famous Aint nothin but Blues Bar in soho London... your guaranteed an awesome night out..
