THANK YOU SO MUCH TO EVERYONE WHO SUPPORTED COBBLER IN ANY WAY, WE GREATLY APPRECIATE ALL THAT YOU HAVE DONE SINCE WE STARTED THE BAND. Josh, Chris, Mike, JFork started the band out of a love of music and created some really great songs in the process. We were fortunate enough to play some awesome shows up and down the east coast together at some great venues such as 9:30 Club and RFK Stadium, Knitting Factory... and also some really not so great shows together all of which made us better people and musicians in the process. We met a TON of awesome people throughout the process and love everyone so much. Josh is now in California with family and soon to be married (congratulations!), Chris is finishing up his degree as well as playing lots of Poker in Las Vegas and is now playing bass for The War Within (VA/DC). Mike is also finishing up his degree, working, having a cigar and playing drums in The War Within. JFork continues to write and record his own original songs as well as being involved in other side-projects and is playing lead guitar in The War Within.

The influences of their sound range from U2 to Radiohead to the Beatles and can best be described in words as being a soulful and endearing sonic assault that leaves a resonation within the listener. Their subject matter is mostly based around relationships, love, pain and frustration but always in the spine of the music rings an upbeat persona musically and lyrically that creates a bittersweet effect. As mentioned before, Cobbler exudes a sense of timelessness in their music and perhaps that is because they base their songs around life experiences so that anyone can approach it.

Exploding from the rapidly expanding Northern Virginia region is the newest rock band quartet, Cobbler. After forming the band in late 2004, the group has successfully played over 150 plus shows spanning the entire East Coast. Cobbler has been known to perform at top notch venues including The Knitting Factory, The State Theatre, and Washington DC’s very own 9:30 Club. Performing at these venues has transformed Cobbler into the new sound of our era.
Since Cobbler’s humble beginnings while they were still developing as a young group, they collaborated on their first album “Stars caught Fire” (2005 EP). This album was considered “a full fledged sonic assault, yet soulful and endearing” to the listener. From this point on the band has continued to bring an intensity and passion to their shows. This passion and intensity has earned them countless fans in every venue they play.
Cobbler is currently working on their first full-length LP entitled “The Change in Frequency” (2007). This latest installment is scheduled to be released in late summer/early fall 2007. With the assistance of locally renowned recorder/mixer Kevin Rucker, Cobbler has refined their sound with some added “spit-and-polish”; the result is more infectious hooks amplifying what the band is known for: its unique and original sound.
Cobbler ended in December of 2007 when their singer left to be with family in California. Even though Cobbler has ended, their music lives on with the three remaining and their NEW BAND "The War Within". Do yourself a favor and check them out at www.myspace.com/THEWARWITHINMUSIC
