Love Greg Brown, Led Zepplin, Jack Johnson, Norah Jones, IZ, Bob Marley, Crosby Stills and Nash, Rage against the Machine, Billie Holiday, Sublime, RHCP, Eric Clapton, Muddy Waters, Ani diFranco, Janice Joplin, Ben Harper, Johnny Cash, Jake Shimabukaru and so much more. We listen to everything from folk, oldtime blues, island music, old school rock and roll to more modern techno beat ambiant stuff, however, our hearts are lost in Margaritaville and our souls are walking with Greg Brown.Movies
The English Patient, A Very Long Engagement, Moulin Rouge, Ghostbusters, Korean movies are gorgeous. Foreign films and flicks that aproach political suicide with vigor. Good, bloody shoot em up action flicks, the more skin tight vinyl the better. Horror movies (although Cobi doesn't, Kyme does), James Bond movies....to be continued.Television
Deadwood! Rome and Dexter! Jordan watches way too much tv cartoons in general. We all like Chuck and Pushing Daisies and for a good helping of sappiness we watch Extreme Home Makeover.Books
Kyme: Not enough time or space! Joanne Harris lately, and trash mystery (Janet Evanovich) before that. Tom Robbins' books (please write another!), John Krakauer is a great writer. I love Jimmy Buffett's books. But I also really love reading 18th century british poetry for some sick reason. Tracy Chevalier is great along with that whole wave of historical fiction that draws you in and is oh so romantic. I love literature in many forms and styles. Cobi: Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit and the Death Gate cycle and pretty much the only books I've read. I should read more I guess.Heroes
Kyme: My Grandparents for living their lives with wonder, magic and love for over 70yrs. My daughter Jane! Wonder Woman, James Bond, James Joyce, Jimmy Buffett and Lula. Greg Brown for singing my soul so well. Strangers who I see living their life to the fullest. Cobi: My oldest brother Tory for his strength and perseverance in the face of unimaginable obstacles. My neice Katrina, she's the smarest and cutest kid ever. My Grandfather for the love and patience he had. My Mom, for the same love and patience, and for always supporting me, no matter how crazy she thinks I am. (If you can't tell, I love my family :p )
