The CCYO is a “strings only” ensemble comprised of violins, violas, cellos and a string bass. There are currently over 25 members ranging from elementary to high school age. The orchestra was formed in 2002 due to the lack of a strings program in the public schools. It is a non-profit 501c3 organization that relies on the generosity of the community for support.
Program Purpose: To give the children of our community the opportunity to play string music in a group setting.
Philosophy: The orchestra is dedicated to building responsibility, discipline, and communication skills in our local youth through music.
