Cock Energy began in the Spring of 2004 with the release of the regional super-hit, "Sacto Rock City", by Sacramento's very own, Sacramento. Six months later, in an effort to diversify its band roster, Cock Energy went garage to grind with Knifethruhead's "Masterpiece", a record which critics found to be all that the name implies. With two sensational records out in less than a year, Cock Energy became the benchmark for success in the Sacramento rocknroll underground. So much, in fact, that release #3, Rock the Light "Summer We All Got Laid", bankrolled by photographer extroardinaire, Zombie Cock, appeared in stores without knowledge of the label, bearing the label's name. With a relocation to Chico, California, and a proliferation of records stashed under the bed, Cock Energy goes international with the release of "Smash the Cistern" by Medway's garage punk luminaries, Armitage Shanks. With no capital, no distribution, and no website, Cock Energy will continue to promote all that is dirty, sleazy, and disgusting in the rocknroll underground. Look for the upcoming debut LP by Dirty Sister.
