Peace & Blessings! I'm a married mom of three, Ariyan, Isis, and Jeremiah. I absolutely LOVE my children and would do ANYTHING to keep them safe and happy. I'm a simple girl. My philosophy is 'Everything, good or bad, happens for a reason. The key is to learn the lesson or history will repeat itself.'   • Movies

    I'll watch a great horror flick any day!! The Color Purple, The Shawshank Redemption, Malcolm X, Gothika, The Temptations (even though it's not accurate), Life, Saw I-IV, and all things Tyler Perry are some of my favs. Some of my fav actors are, of course Halle & Denzel. Morgan Freeman, Will Smith, Angela Bassett-Vance, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Martin Lawrence, Charles S. Dutton, Leon, Lela Rochon Fuqua, Vivica Fox, Larenz Tate, Sam Jackson, Whoopi Goldberg, Oprah Winfrey, Danny Glover, Matthew McConaughey, Don Cheadle (He's so underated!), John Travolta, Chris Tucker, Nicolas Cage, Anthony Hopkins (Hello Clarice, LOL), and last, but not least Lawrence Fishburne. I also love the oh-so-fine Idris Elba.

    I watch the news (even though it is depressing), History, Biography, and Discovery channels. I love basketball. My favorite team is the Lakers, although I have to support the Grizzlies because they represent my hometown (they are definitely getting btter). My children love Spongebob and Elmo, so I usually find myself watching those shows also.

    The Bible, The Autobiography of Malcolm X, Song of Solomon (Toni Morrison), Beloved, Yesterday I Cried, The Value in The Valley, A Time To Kill, all things Eric Jerome Dickey, and What Happened To Daddy's Little Girl? (a must read for women who grew up without a father)

    God because he loves everyone and can forgive and forget. My mom because she taught me how to parent and to be a strong woman. My sister because she taught me to persevere. Iyanla Vanzant because she taught me how to love myself. My children because they teach me, daily, not to take life so seriously. HBJ because he taught me how to love unconditionally and what not to do. Ronnie and Connie, Anthony and Alisha, Trez and Kim, Will and Jada, Terron and Leilani, Flex and Shanice, Sam and Latanya, Ossie and Ruby Dee, Courtney and Angela, Barack and Michelle, Martin and Coretta, Malcolm and Betty, and the many other strong Black loving couples because they give me something to aspire to.
