When it came time to make the music video for Microphone, the first and only director who came to mind was Johannes Gamble.
They don't come finer. He is an awesome director and artist and more importantly,
A dear friend of mine.
We kicked around a bunch of crazy ideas.
Too many to go into now but ultimately,
We decided that perhaps the best idea
And the most fun idea would be to just meet up with Johannes
And shoot as much unplanned stuff as possible for an hour or so.
He could have ideas but I wasn't allowed to know them.
I was just instructed by Johannes to do certains at certain times.

It feels free
And fun
And intimate
And homemade
In fact
A lot of times when I make music I think about not only that song
But that video
It blew my mind
All Matthew Sweet at his house

Playing instruments
Being with his wife!
The video is full of love
And its like a window into his life and music
With that in mind
Johannes and I made the following video
It was so much fun
Because I got to be around Johannes and be inspired by his creative spirit!

Your brother and his band Rooney sound incredible, they should be selling millions. But if you ask me, I think I like your stuff better - there's a level of honesty and creativity in it that makes it unique.
We are a new band hailing from Buffalo, NY. The band consists of members Ian Wiedrick ( of the band Speakerfire ) handling Vocals, Guitars, and Lyrics and Michael Novak Jr. ( Formerly of the band Every Time I Die ) on drums. As of right now we don't have a Bass Player, but when the time is right we will aquire one. We are currently looking for a record label and writing new songs.
