Codaphonic has been around since 2005, proudly serving up a healthy dose of quality upbeat pop/rock. It all began one summer when Cody, Taylor, and Justin got together to play some music and enjoy each other's company. They had so much that they decided to call themselves Codaphonic and play some shows together. Pretty soon they said, "Hey, let's record a record." So they did just that along with their soon to be good friends Mike Paragone and David Axelrod. The result was the self-released 2006 EP, "Good Morning Radio." Soon after that, they met a guy named Geoff who was real good at playing piano and asked him to join their band. He agreed and they set to work with Mike and Dave on the 2008 Silent Uproar release, "The Ballad of Codaphonic." Now the year is 2009 and Codaphonic is back at it. The guys are preparing to release their third project, an EP called "Edison's Rival," on YK Records, run by their buddy, Michael Eades. It was recorded at Nashville's very own LakeFever studio with their pals Jason Bullock and John Baldwin, Jr. The EP features 4 new songs, plus amazing hand printed packaging by Andrew Vastagh of Boss Construct. The CD includes 4: 7"x7" prints inspired by the songs. Only 100 copies are being produced and they will be hand numbered. Be on the look out for a release date and ordering details. In the meantime, feel free to enjoy the EP for free here on this page.

Really great sound, guys. I love it! "Ritalin" is a great tune, full of Jellyfishy goodness. We should hook up for some shows since we're so close. Thanks for finding me, hope you dig the tunes.
It was my pleasure to play "The Most Important Thing" on my weekly, 30-minute podcast featuring mainstream, independent music. The direct link to the show is: http://indiemusicsampler.com/2008/01/25/ims-082/.

Hi, Fellows - I really enjoyed the CD release show at The Rutlidge. You guys really sounded great - especially when Mike duck-taped his E key back onto his saxophone (LOL). Y'all rock!
