Our Japanese fans can order the CD from Erased Tapes' Japanese distributor P*DIS.
'Is the world ready for yet another post-rock band? The answer is yes! "Paper Canyon" overflows with gaping gorges of pretty passages prone to gathering momentum before enveloping unsuspecting ears whole... A debut record of real maturity!' Best New Music – ROCK SOUND
'A perfectly presented first statement of their intentions... sending jolts from shoulders to fingertips.' (8/10) – CLASH
'These post-rockers have mastered their art of flitting seamlessly between ambient beauty and heartfelt climaxes which will leave you reeling for more.' – THE FLY
'Debut single Distant Street Lights benefits from a dappling of light and shade, floating us along its own river without ever insisting that we drop anchor and, y'know, sob at the beauty of it. Ones to watch, for sure.' – METRO
'What makes Paper Canyon a great listen and a fine specimen of experimental post rock is its unpredictability. Long suites and tremendous cohesion work together for Codes in the Clouds, as a sonic blender swirls and swings melodies, tempos, and moody instrumental interplay for a chaotic milkshake of future post rock.' – POPMATTERS (US)
'It's easily one of the most refined and complete sounding instrumental post-rock long-players of recent times. Recommended.' – BOOMKAT
'At times crestfallen and regretful, at others furious and passionate, this album is a synergy between exceptional percussion and dizzying whirlpools of guitar riffs.' (4/5) – NARC
'When a debut album like this comes along you know that it is an important moment in music when you hear it, and it only took them five days to record.' (9/10) – DROP-D (IE)
'Paper Canyon is a remarkably tight ship...from soppy piano picks to lush, pounding heroism and epic rabbit-punches of distortion. It goes to confirm that, in the right hands, post-rock works like a dentist, extracting bicuspids of bloody emotion from the mouths of people with weak spots.' – COKEMACHINEGLOW (US)
'Their music brings the sonic deluge associated with their genre, kidney-punching you with crescendos that leave you in surgery, coupled with the fragile stitching of clean guitar lines that help you recuperate. Codes does show they are capable of more surprising melody-making, particularly in the star-charting patience of "The Distance Between Us"' Track Of The Week – THE SILENT BALLET (US)
'One of the hottest releases for the genre...the whole work seems to be a crescendo of emotions that explode in the final tracks, turning your insides upside down. A must have!' – SOUND MAGAZINE (IT)
'This Kent-based quintet find themselves on the cusp of what looks to be a very promising career!' Ones To Watch in 2009 – ROCK SOUND
'Distant Street Lights screams the word Ambition! with every subtly-crafted chord. Fractures is possibly the most gripping piece of music you'll hear this year, almost like the final chapter from a Jack Arnott novel.' (8/10)
Single of the Week – DROWNED IN SOUND
'With their blissful brand of post-rock, this quintet will warm many a jaded soul.' The Best New Music
– ROCK SOUND
'Upon hearing Distant Street Lights I was drawn in like the proverbial moth to the flame, while Fractures fuelled my appetite for more, it’s an album we really want.' Rising Stars
– THE SILENT BALLET (US)
'Featured track On The Radar.'
– Huw Stephens, BBC Radio 1
'I love every second of it!'
– BBC Radio Northern Ireland
'One of the best tunes i've heard in a while, like mogwai having a punch up with boards of canada. Superb! Another play this week and more to come.'
– Isles FM Scotland
'Excellent remix action... CITC's 'We Anchor In Hope' as remixed by worriedaboutsatan. And it’s really, really good.' Track Of The Day – CLASH

More Press & Propaganda:
'Even though it’s probably our ignorance, we've yet to find a strong British act that rivals some of the better foreign post rock artists. Guess what? We think we’ve found one.'
– HECKLER SPRAY
'Easy comparisons of their work float right to the top with all the gusto that you’d expect of Explosions In The Sky or Mogwai. Hailing from the UK, Codes starts with all the right moves and then goes quiet only to erupt in a monolith of sound minutes later.' – THE DROP (US)
'There's incredible depth here for a band at the start of their career.' (4/5)
– High Voltage
'An epic, majestic take on swooning post-rock. Weaving spidery guitar lines across a landscape of subdued drum patters and gorgeously strewn outbursts of distortion, Distant Street Lights is a song that wallows in waltz-like post-rock beauty, militaristic drum beats punctuating the post-rocking instrumental sublimity.' – UK Music Search
'A highly successful exercise in epic instrumental music.' – Boomkat Records
