Here at Cody James Ministries we consider ourselves a Blue Flame Ministry, the Blue Flame being the Purest.
The Ministry is about taking the songs and testimony God has placed in my life and having the opportunity to share
them with the world. It doesn’t matter where I go; weather it is, Churches, Concert’s, Jails/Prisons, Recovery
events, radio or TV shows, the message is always strong having one thing leading it: ‘Jesus Loves us and came
to free us’; and when this message becomes real in our hearts and lives, we then have an obligation to pass it on.
Not all are called to be Missionary’s or Evangelists like myself, but we are called to be that Light and disciples of
the world, when and wherever we may go. What this Ministry does depends on the needs that are brought to us.
My team and I spend the majority of our time on the road.
My wife Jamie and I are often called to Minister in churches. With our once weak and struggling lives and worldly
relationship we had no where to go but down and it was a fast descend. Our testimonies help us to connect with
people with the same temptations and struggles we once faced, drugs, alcohol, anger, to name a few; but as God
was eventually invited into our lives and became the centerpiece, we now have a strong partnership. Having God
become the leader of our lives and talents has shown us that no matter what obstacle we are faced with that we
can, and will stand together as one. My wife and I are blessed with two beautiful children and a strong marriage.
Many times its Jamie that is the one to help me stay grounded and covered with prayer.
Many times we perform full band concerts. I am blessed to have a team of dedicated and extremely talented
Christian musicians that Minister with me on these occasions. These people fully understand that though they are
gifted, that God is more interested in obedience than talent. Knowing where our talents come from help us use
them to their fullest. So if rocking out with God sounds interesting, wait until you hear us play.
If not rocking on stage I travel with a small but very effective team. Including Bill McLemore, founder of Bill
McLemore Ministries inc. and author of “Meth, What’s your destination. We have traveled many road miles
together. We have Ministered in more Jails, and churches than we can count. Pastor Bill holds huge tent revivals,
with an additional and much needed emphasis; he calls them “Freedom from Meth rallies”. Purposed for the many
lost and hurting bounded by the terrors of addiction that hold us in bondage. Bill proudly stands in Gods Honor and
provides four rallies per year. When working with him in this capacity I have the honor of being his Music Minister,
it was in fact Pastor McLemore that ordained me. When I heard the call of the Lord to strike out on my own, my
friend Brother Bill was the first to encourage me, pray for me, and simply be there for me in whatever I needed. So

My close friend and Associate Music Minister Vince Hightower has worked with me for many years now and
travels along with me, to minister the word of God. He is the lead guitar player in our band and like myself
completely understands that this music that God has given us, along with our gifts are simply tools to spread the
word of God and continue his great works. An incredibly talented guitar player (Gotta little Stevie Ray Vaughan in
him), organized, and a humble man, he is a huge blessing to this Blue Flame Ministry in all ways; and truly a
brother in Christ. There is a special anointing that God gives Vince and I when we travel and play together; we
travel with PA gear, an assortment of guitars, and a piano; and we have been told that there is an intimacy that
takes place between the listeners and God when it’s just him and I playing. We do however love to rock, and even
with just two men, two guitars, and three voices, believe me, you will feel the Holy Sprit.
