Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, John Mellencamp, Tom Petty, David Alan Coe. Marshall Tucker Band, Willie Nelson, Hank and Hank Jr., Johnny Paycheck, of course my Mom and Dad, my grandpa, and oh yeah sometimes the LAW was a major influence. hahaha an unwanted one, but an influence never the less.

2007 and 2008 have been good to Cody so far. He has had a 1 VIDEO on CMT's 12 Pack Countdown! He was the FIRST Male Independent Artist to have a Top 20 Single on the Music Row Chart. "Tonights the Night was at 18 for three weeks and gave Cody the honor of walking the RED CARPET at the 2008 CMA Awards. He was featured in Country Weekly Magazine mutiple times. In 2008 he filmed a documentary is based on a song Cody wrote entitled "Through Gods Eyes". The Documentary is entitled CODY McCARVER BEHIND THE WALLS and will be finished in 2009

He was featured in ACM (Academy of Country Music) Tempo Magazine. CMA Closeup Magazine (Country Music Ass. says CODY is an artist to watch for in 2008! He has been featured in Music Connection Magazine and MANY More. March 4 2008 he recieved 2 AWARDS at COUNTRY RADIO SEMINAR in NASHVILLE TN. MUSIC ROW Independent ARTIST OF THE YEAR and MUSIC ROW BREAKOUT ARTIST OF 2007. THANK YOU TO COUNTRY RADIO from the bottom of my heart............. You could say " Where I'm From is Where I'm At". For the last 8 years I have traveled the U.S., Canada and Europe playing playing keyboards, guitar and singing back up vocals in the award winning band CONFEDERATE RAILROAD. Before that I was the bass player in the The Lynn Anderson Band (I Beg Your Pardon I Never Promised You a Rose Garden). I also spent several years touring the country as Cody McCarver and Southern Xposure. These years have flown by, but it has lead me to this point. I have recorded a solo project with Record Producer Csaba Petocz who has worked with everyone from John Michael Montgomery and Kenny Chesney to Lynyrd Skynyrd and Metallica. The record was mixed by Chris Lord-Alge. Chris does records for Green Day and Dave Mathews to mention a couple. He has totally put his touch and sound to the record. Some of which we recorded in Nashville and some at Capital Studio B in Hollywood Ca.. I am very proud of it as it is ME. In August of 2007 we returned to Capital Studios in Hollywood to record the song that is probably ME the most of any that will be on the CD. Due to a huge response at LIVE shows and from radio and media "THROUGH GODS EYES" will be my new single for Fall of 07'. The song is a story song that is very close to me because some of the story is ME. It is based on events from my hometown, Dunlap TN.. My parents ( Bill and Delilah) who are mentioned in the song and is a VERY true. You will have to listen to it to believe it. Also there is mention of a LONG HAIRED guitar picker in a hillbilly band", I wonder who that is?? The song has been an inspiration to many people as well as myself. I am hoping this song may touch some lives and do some good out there in this CRAZY world. Thanks for believing WE DO ALL LOOK THE SAME THROUGH GODS EYES!!!!
