ABOUT THE BAND
With hushed, melancholic, yet vital and out-going melodies, CODY has made their own trademark on the alt. country scene. Their debut EP received 5 out of 6 stars reviews in all the leading music magazines and newspapers in Denmark, and CODY was invited to support acts like Bonnie ”Prince” Billy, The National and Black Francis.
Playing numerous shows in and outside their native Denmark, including what many punters & critics stated as one of the best concerts at the Roskilde Festival this year, CODY has gained a lot more attention and a bigger fan base than anyone had expected from a collective of musicians playing alternative country.
CODY is all about the heaviest cornerstones in music – the song writing and the melodies. As a German critic described the music: ”..it’s a bit like walking down a long corridor towards a door. On the way you get a glimpse of the wide expanses of nature outside. Then suddenly you step out into the open space and there it is: the infinite, wild and liberating landscape in all it’s unbearable greatness and loneliness.”
‘Songs’ is the full-length debut album from CODY. It’s released in Denmark on 14 September, and in Germany/Austria/Switzerland on 2 October 2009.

Hvor lyder det cool med de nye numre. Hvor kan man anskaffe sig et eksemplar af den nye skive, virke ik til, den er tilgængelig på itunes? Men hvor er det sejt herinde..!
