Music and tour booking agency
We specialise in touring incredibly talented artists from the UK and USA across the UK and are registered to arrange work permits with the British Home Office and to handle tax arrangements with British Inland Revenue. We also arrange occasional gigs and support slots on behalf of emerging acts and arrange premiere and chart artist performances for UK promoters.
Publicity
We regularly support tours, album releases and film releases with publicity work; arranging interviews and articles in regional and genre-specific press, general press releases to regional and nationals as well as plugging, interviews and live sessions on independent, genre and BBC regional radio.
Viral marketing and PR
Utilising the marketing power of online communities such as Myspace we run all kinds of online and viral marketing campaigns for almost every budget; from simply adding a guranteed number of targeted and real new friends to a band Myspace, to full viral campaigns taking in communities, forums, street teams, video, ARGs and anything else we can think up.
Graphic & web design and photography
Through sister company Coffee Design we can design pretty much anything, from CD inlays and artwork to band logos and crisp, clean websites; we've won a few web design awards and are pretty good at search engine optimisation and submission as well.
Promo videos and documentaries
Through sister company Coffee Films we can create everything from music videos to tour videos to feature length documentaries; we've won quite a lot of awards and can work to most budgets.

A short history
Coffee Artists is a part of the 12 year old Coffee Arts and Media organisation which also includes the award winning British independent film production company Coffee Films.
Launched as a DJ agency in 2003, at the end of the days when DJs actually got paid anything worthwhile, Coffee Artists quickly expanded to live bands and discovered a wealth of untapped talent on the US east coast's independent music scene eager to tour the UK.
Bravely blazing a trail Jake Stigers and later Pete and J invested in regularly touring the UK and word of mouth quickly spread around the New York indie scene about the little British agency that could somehow create successful and even profitable UK tours for virtually unknown artists.
Each new signing brought a higher profile of act and word quickly spread towards the West coast US and across Europe whilst the original roster rapidly delivered on potential, attracting major labels and exponentially increasing fanbases. We expanded with them and drew on the resources of the Coffee organisation to also provide publicity and marketing support and a range of services for other companies and talents in the film industry, finding immediate success through viral campaigns run via communities such as Myspace.
Now in our fifth year we are looking forward to another five of discovering the best creative artists and continuing to build one of the most exciting rosters in the industry.
Music submissions
We currently represent a select roster of music artists and producers across a range of genres, if you think we need to hear your stuff please bear these guidelines in mind;
No Cover or Tribute bands; seriously, write your own music
No Country; Americana is not Country, there is no Country market in the UK
No Classical; you seriously need to be with a specialist classical focused agency
No Metal; it's just not our thing
No DJs; clubbing is dead, deal with it
No purely instumental artists or acts
No Instrumental Electronica on a budget; we love it but there's no live scene unless you're about to go BIG, your promises of being the next Brian Eno/Orb/Aphex Twin do not count, a deal with something like Warp or Ninja Tunes does.
Publicity info if it looks like your baby daughter made it that just tells us you're not taking yourself seriously and expect us to build your entire career for you; graphic design does cost but neat, tidy and effort don't, we just expect you to show a little pride in how you present yourself.
We receive well over 1000 unsolicited submissions every year, the total number of artists signed to our booking roster from unsolicited submissions in the last two years is 1 (yes, that's one) so please, please try and be realistic as to whether you are at the quality level of our other artists. If you still think we need to hear you send us a link to an EPK, Myspace page or website and include a decent biography and anything else interesting

Society is afraid of your wild natures afraid of your naturalness, so from the very beginning, it starts cutting your wings.
And the most dangerous possibility in you is the possibility of love.
Because if there is love, you can go even against the whole world.
If you know your being, there is no question of becoming.
All that you could have ever imagined to become you already are.
You are gods who have forgotten who they are.
You are emperors who have fallen asleep and are dreaming that they have become beggars.
Now beggars are trying to become emperors, in dreams they are making great efforts to become emperors, and all that is needed is to wake up! You may be the last generation which has be the possibility to rebel.
And if you don't rebel there may be no more chances.
Humanity can be reduced to a robot like existence.
Our latest addition is this trailer for a powerful independent feature film documentary on the animal rights movement from SHAC to Peta, the ALF and the FBI's declaration that animal rights activists are a greater terrorist threat to the USA than Al Quaeda. Featuring key figures like Josh Harper and Kevin Kjonaas with celebrity comment from Jessica Biel, Katherine Heigl, Kaley Cuoco, Joss Stone and James Cromwell. Funded by a political lobbyist to criticise Peta indie filmmakers Curt Johnson and Maura Flynn decided to give the activists a fair hearing leading to a long courtroom battle. A critically acclaimed independent film with 91% at Rotten Tomatoes it continues to cause controversy, getting pulled from DVD stores after pressure on major retailers from food industry lobbyists; you can still get a copy direct from distributors Halo-8 and check out the latest work from Curt Johnson's Indie Genius Productions on their Myspace.
