Il progetto CoffeeOverdrive nasce nel 2005 dalla coesione artistica di Oleg (voce, chitarra) e Jonny (Chitarra Solista, Cori),
musicisti dalla grande esperienza nel circuito Live italiano ed estero con cover/tribute bands.
Stanchi di fare musica altrui, simili in gusti musicali e con caratteri complementari,
i due decidono di abbandonare la scena musicale delle covers per dedicarsi esclusivamente alla realizzazione di brani propri.
L'obiettivo comune diventa quello di creare musica originale che abbia un sound vario, dinamico e moderno con, nel contempo, la freschezza e l'immediatezza degli “evergreen”.
Rock, Metal, Psichedelia, Funk, Gospel, Folk....
nel sound compatto e corposo dei Coffee Overdrive si possono sentire tutti questi generi, sapientemente mischiati.
Le influenze musicali sono illimitate e vanno da Jimi Hendrix ai Rammstein, da James Brown ai SoundGarden, da De Andrè ai System of a Down..
tutto ciò che è “pane per l’anima” sfama la corrente creativa dei Coffee: unica prerogativa della band è
quella di mantenere sempre il miglior standard qualitativo possibile, con grande cura di melodie ed arrangiamenti
La sezione ritmica è formata da Mr. Pisu (batteria, anche lui da tempo sulla scena musicale con una rinomata Guns n Roses Tribute band) e , dopo lunghe ricerche, Mark (basso) : ragazzi dalle indubbie qualità tecniche, esperienza live e , soprattutto, con i medesimi gusti e la stessa voglia di darci dentro del duo fondatore.
L'inarrestabile vena creativa del cantante/chitarrista combinata alle grandi capacità tecniche e al pregevole gusto nell’arrangiamento del resto della band, fanno si che in breve tempo i Coffee Overdrive riescano ad imbastire un buon repertorio di materiale completamente originale.
Il debutto Live avviene il 05 Luglio 2006 e, da allora -senza alcun supporto di agenzie, case discografiche o management,
i Coffee Overdrive suonano decine e decine di date giro per l'Italia (da Milano a Roma, diverse sono le città visitate dal gruppo, oltre 50 date in meno di due anni) sostenuti solamente dai tanti estimatori del loro sound , promosso principalmente dai live show stessi e con la messa on line del profilo myspace nell'ottobre del 2006
L'impatto live dei quattro è professionale e coinvolgente: brani eseguiti con perizia tecnica e compattezza, look curato, effetti di luce e pirotecnici (Fontane di Luce, piccole esplosioni e vere e proprio Fiammate, ove possibile).
Nell’Aprile del 2007, i Coffee entrano al Peak Studio di Carpi (MO) per dare vita al loro debut album e soddisfare le tante richieste dei fans di poter sentire ovunque i pezzi che avevano imparato ad amare ai live shows ed in versione "demo" su Myspace.
Con le registrazioni solo agli inzi, nel Maggio 2007 i Coffee Overdrive sono annunciati come uno dei i 24 finalisti -selezionati da una giuria di esperti del settore fra circa 2.000 bands iscritte - del GODS OF METAL MYSPACE CONTEST!!!!
Dopo due settimane di votazione "popolare", la band arriva fra i Nove Vincitori del Contest; Centinaia di voti giornalieri da vecchi e nuovi "fans" incoronano i Coffee Overdrive vincitori.
02 Giugno 2007 : esibizione sul MySpace Stage delGODS OF METAL FESTIVAL, lo stesso giorno di nomi del calibro di Motley Crue, Scorpions, Velvet Revolver – solo per citarne alcuni-
Dopo questa esperienza e forti di un seguito di estimatori aumentato di centinaia di unità, i Coffee Overdrive alternano le numerose date live ai lavori sul disco.
Dopo circa sette mesi di lavoro, nel Novembre 2007 vengono ultimate le sessioni di registrazione, mixaggio e mastering di quasi un ora di musica originale targata Coffee Overdrive, 13 brani raccolti in un album chiamato "Revolution Breakfast"
Grazie proprietario del Peak Studio, Marco "Simon" Maccari –co-produttore del disco e , soprattutto, amico sincero della band-, quattro brani di "Revolution Breakfast" vengono sentiti da un art director di RAI UNO e selezionati per esser parte del carnet di potenziali colonne sonore dei servizi del programma di moda e cultura "OltreModa". .
Tre di essi vengono utilizzati come background music in diversi servizi di moda.
Il Brano "Ow Lord" viene incluso nella prima promo compilation di "Solo Roba Nostra", una “cospirazione musicale” auto-gestita atta a promuovere gruppi residenti nella provincia di Modena che suonano esclusivamente musica propria : 1.000 copie stampate e distribuite nella zona di Modena
Durante un suo tour in Italia, l'artista NewYorkese "Lord Bishop Rocks" nota ed apprezza le potenzialità della band, sua opener in una serata al Madly Pub di Piacenza, e decide di portarla con se in un mini tour in GERMANIA e SVIZZERA nel Dicembre 2007
L'esperienza, folle ma nel contempo molto professionale, allarga gli orizzonti della band all'estero e fa capire quanto il "Coffee Sound" sia di caratura internazionale: pubblico sempre partecipe e vendita di tutte le copie di CD e merchandising in sole 4 date.
Nella primavera/estate 2008 i Coffee vengono chiamati in più occasioni a fare da "Headliners" a vari festival per gruppi emergenti.
Nel Luglio 2008, grazie ad un contatto Myspace, la band torna a suonare all’estero, questa volta a Girona, SPAGNA
La Band continua a suonare per l’Italia, spesso in compagnia dei fratelli milanesi “Follow The Idol”, e si appresta a registrare nuovo materiale mentre “Revolution Breakfast” continua a vendere ai live shows e in Digital Download grazie al recente accordo con Belive Digital, il maggiore distributore di musica digitale a livello europeo.
Nel Novembre 200 nasce il secondo figlio di Pisu, i conseguenti impegni gli impediscono quindi di portare avanti con continuità l'appartenenza alla band.
Dopo una amichevole separazione, la band trova come sostituto l'amico Matteo Gazzotti (TEO) , batterista con numerose esperienze Live e in studio con band Metal (Master Damned) e Funk-Rock (Mamalulu) e come turnista di diversi generi.
La band torna quindi operativa, dura e sempre più tenace...

The Coffee Overdrive project t was born in late 2005 by the artistic cohesion of Oleg (lead vocals, guitar) & Jonny (Lead Guitar, Backing Vocals), two musicians with true passion and a lot of professional experience made by playing live with original bands and Cover/Tribute bands (Kiss, Ozzy, Guns'n'Roses) in both European & Italian Clubs & Biker circuit.
Similar in taste and ambitions, Oleg & Jonny join forces for making their dream come true: the ultimate rock band…a musical combo that can write songs with a fresh, various, dynamic and modern sound, yet fresh and catchy as evergreen are.
Rock, Metal, Psychedelic, Funk, Gospel, Folk.... One can feel all these genres melted together in the stiff and groovy sound of Coffee Overdrive!!
Musical influences are unbounded …from Jimi Hendrix to Rammstein, from James Brown to SoundGarden, from Italian best songwriter De Andrè to System of a Down...Every music that has true SOUL is an inspiration for the band. The one and only bound is the quality one.
Rhythm section is formed by the Overdrummer Mr. Pisu & the bass player Mark (basso) : two very skilled & experienced musicians who immediately connect with the artistic vision of the founders
The unstoppable creativity of the singer/guitarist combined with the technical skills of his fellows let Coffee Overdrive build a long repertoire of original stuff.
Live debut: July 05th 2006
Since then with no support of any booking agency, record label or management, Coffee Overdrive play lots of gigs all around Italy (from Milano to Roma, more than 50 gigs in two years) supported only by word of mouth , live shows themselves and through MySpace –more than 40.000 visits from October 2006
Live shows are based on professionalism, share impact and passion: songs are played with technical excellence, audience get crazy, looks are astonishing and pyros blow the stage!!
April 2007: Coffee Overdrive enter in Peak Studio Recording in Carpi (MO) starting the recordings of their debut album & satisfy the many requests of fans who want to take home the songs they learned to love in MySpace’s demo versions.
Recordings just started when, in May 2007, Coffee Overdrive are announced as one of the 24 finalists -selected by business experts between more the 2.000 bands- of GODS OF METAL MYSPACE CONTEST!!!!
After two weeks of people’s voting, Coffee Overdrive reach the first place of the charts and get the right to play at the world famous GODS OF METAL FESTIVAL in Milan.
June 2nd 2007: Coffee Overdrive play on the MySpace Stage of GODS OF METAL FESTIVAL, together with names such as Motley Crue, Scorpions, Velvet Revolver, Thin Lizzy & more.
After this incredible experience and with hundreds of fans more, Coffee Overdrive bounce from live shows to recording studio.
November 2007: Recording, Mixing & mastering finally come to an end.
"Revolution Breakfast" is born: 13 tracks, almost one hour of original Coffee Overdrive’s songs
Thanks to the Peak Studio's Owner, Marco "Simon" Maccari, four tracks from "Revolution Breakfast" were listened by an art director of RAI UNO (The main Italian broadcasting channel) and then were selected for being part of the soundtrack of the fashion and culture broadcast "OltreModa". "Ow Lord" (both in its original & Gospel version) was on air two times as BGM of a report about Eastern Fashion and of one about the Black Venus, Naomi Campbell. Later, the song "Revolution Funk" also was used as BGM of a fashion report.
Coffee Overdrive was member of the music conspiracy "Solo Roba Nostra", a self-managed promotional agency for bands who play mainly original songs. The track "Ow Lord" has been included in the first issue of a promotional compilation, 1.000 copies print & sold all over the Modena area.
During one tour in Italy, the New Yorker Rocker "Lord Bishop Rocks" see the potential of Coffee Overdrive –his opener band in a wild show – and takes them with him in a mini tour in Germany SWITZERLAND, in Dec. 2007.
The crazy but yet very professional experience is very important or the band and ensures the 4 guys that the “Coffee Sound" can really be international: audience get crazy at every song and all CDs and t-shirts are sold out in just 4 gigs.
On July 2008 the band was called to headline the First Costa Brava Metal Festival in Gerona, Spain.
Coffee Overdrive keep rocking stages all around Italy and are ready to record brand new songs while “Revolution Breakfast” keep being sold at concert and by digital download, thanks to Believe Digital, Europe’s largest digital music’s distribution label
In November 2008 the second child of Pisu is born. Because of the lack of time, the drummer had to leave the band- in a friendly and nice way.
After few months a new Overdrummer is found: his name is Teo, a very experienced drummer and a long time friend.
