My store at www.coffeepotpeople.etsy.com Arts, crafts, crochet, photography, writing, computers, white water rafting, children, gardening, reading, singing and playing music, face painting. I have the feeling I'm leaving out quite a bit, but this is a good start.
Music
It's easier to say what I don't like than what I do, because I like almost everything. But I don't care for heavy metal, and I don't think rap is music. (Think about it: you cannot harmonize to it. There's no melody line. If there's no melody and no harmony, there is by definition no music.) Having said that, some of it is good, highly rhythmic poetry.
Okay. Everything else I like. I love celtic, John Prine, Eliza Gilkyson, Dar Williams, and folk.
Movies
The Slice&Dice genre does absolutely nothing for me. Otherwise, I'm omnivorous.
About me:
I'm an artist specializing in found art, mostly for the yard and garden, but not exclusively.
I had my first inkling that there were people inside coffee pots at an estate sale. I picked up a coffee pot, which was upside down for some reason, looked at the spout and burst out, "That's a nose!" After that, nothing would do but that I take the pot home and complete that face. Pierre made his appearance, and I still treasure him.
My other art includes: greeting cards using images of the Coffee Pot People, China Blossoms (everlasting "flowers" for the yard, made from china saucers with centers of bright this-and-that), handbags created from recycled sweaters, beads, and crocheted wire handles, and Belt Loop Baubles, jewelry to wear on your jeans.

Sorry I have been MIA for so very long. My illness is now progressive and I don't get on here like I used to but my Friends are never far from my Heart! :)
I recieved this as a chain letter and I do not do chains but it is so Beautiful I wanted to share it with you.
'May today there be peace within. May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith in yourself and others. May you use the gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content with yourself just the way you are.
Let this knowledge settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us. '
