Got into some heavier music in the 80's & 90's - Quiet Riot, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Queensryche, Scorpions, Judas Priest, Testament, Savatage, and Megadeth.
Some of the alternative/metal bands are pretty good - Drowning Pool, Atomship, Flaw, 3 Doors Down, Nickelback, Good Charlotte, Green Day, Goo Goo Dolls, Foo Fighters, Chevelle, Trapt, Breaking Benjamin, Hawthorne Heights, My Morning Jacket, Evanescence, and Papa Roach.
Bluegrass grabbed hold of me in the 90's and hasn't let go! Plus, it resurrected my interest/love for old timey country and folk and spurred me onto get caught up in the alternative country scene. Some favs - Alison Krauss and Union Station, Blue Highway, Kasey Chambers, Tift Merritt, Steep Canyon Rangers, Chatham County Line, Laurie Lewis, Tony Rice, Darrell Scott, Guy Clark, The Mavericks, Nickel Creek, Bela Fleck, Mindy Smith, and Sam Bush.
