i could name an a-z of people who i dig .. Bob Dylan, Al Green, The Doors , John Lennon, Q-Tip and J-Dilla. But really i do this for my family and my lady and they influence me over anything. Im very inspired to provide a better life to the people who raised me and to the people who will be riding this jorney out with me . This is a art that i love and have no problem waking up everday, digging in the creates or ripping some 8 bit game then making some heat for the people..

The names Licks, a Music producer from the North East of England.
Currently living in Leeds, UK the British chap Licks has been knocking out beats since we hit triple zero’s on the calendar and for the last 12 months working with music artists from the States on a Project called 2015.
At young age of 12 the road less journey began, Licks was first introduced to Kid N Play and Ice T, the tapes were on heavy rotation for months on end, then one day a possible life changing moment when a close friends cousin got jacked for his for the Doggy Style cassette tape. The tape eventually got took back but Licks could always rely on old Boy his father to have John Lennon or Marvin Gaye on deck to fill the mood. Absorbing like a sponge listening to a mixture of genres Licks settled on the art of production as the harmonica was to dam hard to play.
With Havoc, Rza, J Dilla and The old BadBoy Hitmen to getting him though the high school days the love for the music game grew to another level.
Now in his middle 20’s though sound and expression Licks Production has the people sitting back and listening.

The past 15 months has been overwhelming with support and feedback Licks The 3d Boy has received around production his skills not only in the U.K but the people state side are showing an incredible amount of love with Licks ridding the hype featuring on Websites and blogs like URB Magazine, FlyTeq magazine, Illmuzik, Rock the dub, Sucker4clothes to name a few.
2008 brought many collaborations with Licks production featuring on Sucker4Clothes Vol1 , Dana La Rock - The Fun Tape and Pluto Jenkins - Remix E.p etc.. See below features .....
Licks new released project ' 2015 The Mixtape' is available for free download released on November 29th 2008 on CoffeyShop Production with big support from FlyTeq.com and zshare links.
Thru the power of the internet the Licks created a mixtape compilation featuring independent Rappers /Singers expressing themselves over Licks Production. The mixtape is a non profit, for promotion uses only project, featuring artists from England and the states. A year in the making, trading vocals back and fore over the net, with the purpose of showcasing beats while supporting the artist development over some crazy beats.
Watch out in 2009 for ‘THE BLONDE ON BROWN MOEHAWK ‘The solo E.p will feature Licks on the vocals and production as a song and dance man with a passion for the high life and pop art. Also in the works for later this year is a global compilation project reaching further world wide artists.
