What horrible Edward Gorey Death will you die?

You will drink too much gin. Not the worst way to die, but you won't remember too much of your life. Hey, at least you made some people laugh!

NON-RANDOM, CONFOUNDED, SELECTION-BIASED STUFF ABOUT MYSELF: I'm a grad student studying social psychology with a splash of extra stats classes and some feminist theory. My latest interest is the relationship(s) between violence and abuse, pregnancy events, and substance abuse disorders. I have also been known to judge policy debate at high school tournaments (glutton for punishment) and to volunteer for various liberal commie wacko causes. I am happily married, have three canine fur-babies, and just birthed a human critter named Albert on Valentine's Day.

I CONSIDER MYSELF TO BE: Hominid. Animal. Pagan. Darwinist. Scientist. Pro-choice Feminist. Dog lover. Speculative fiction junkie. Shameless procrastinator. Music addict. Great cook. Control freak. Wife. Mother.

I LIKE TO: watch good movies, hang out and eat, drink, and be generally merry with small groups of good friends. I love driving and taking road trips. Addicted to food--both the cooking and the eating. Cooking is like meditation for me (especially if I don't have to clean up the mess), and my favorite ethnic foods are Thai, Indian, Ethiopian, and Mexican (which isn't all that 'ethnic' in Arizona...). Lately obsessed with pregnancy, birth, babywearing, elimination communication, and breastfeeding. Go figure.

OBEY THE SCHNAUZER!!

Support the Schnauzer's conquest for World Domination with official "Obey the Schnauzer!" propaganda.

Displaying "Obey the Schnauzer!" propaganda shows your obedience of the Schnauzer dog breed, and quickly convinces family, friends, and co-workers to become Schnauzer servants.

Befolgen Sie das Schnauzer!

When the Schnauzers launch their diabolical World-Domination plot, will you be spared as one of "the lucky ones?"

This picture was taken recently at a rally commemorating the the fall of Saddam, and the rise of the Schnauzer. The rally soon turned violent, and several people were trampled by the angry crowd.

You are The Moon

Hope, expectation, Bright promises.

The Moon is a card of magic and mystery - when prominent you know that nothing is as it seems, particularly when it concerns relationships. All logic is thrown out the window.

The Moon is all about visions and illusions, madness, genius and poetry. This is a card that has to do with sleep, and so with both dreams and nightmares. It is a scary card in that it warns that there might be hidden enemies, tricks and falsehoods. But it should also be remembered that this is a card of great creativity, of powerful magic, primal feelings and intuition. You may be going through a time of emotional and mental trial; if you have any past mental problems, you must be vigilant in taking your medication but avoid drugs or alcohol, as abuse of either will cause them irreparable damage. This time however, can also result in great creativity, psychic powers, visions and insight. You can and should trust your intuition.

What Tarot Card are You?
Take the Test to Find Out.

.. You scored as Satanism. Your beliefs most closely resemble those of Satanism! Before you scream, do a bit of research on it. To be a Satanist, you don't actually have to believe in Satan. Satanism generally focuses upon the spiritual advancement of the self, rather than upon submission to a deity or a set of moral codes. Do some research if you immediately think of the satanic cult stereotype. Your beliefs may also resemble those of earth-based religions such as paganism.

Who I'd like to meet:
our lord and savior, the Flying Spaghetti Monster. I have been touched by his noodly appendage...

In the beginning he created a mountain, then a tree, then a man. The End.

Would also like to meet other natural birth supporters (homebirthers, midwives, etc.).

Mom Test

I was out walking with my 4 year old daughter.

She picked up something off the ground and started to put it in her
mouth.

I took the item away from her and I asked her not to do that.

'Why?' my daughter asked.

'Because it's been on the ground, you don't know where it's been, it's
dirty, and probably has germs,' I replied.

At this point, my daughter looked at me with total admiration and asked,

'Momma, how do you know all this stuff, you are so smart.'

I was thinking quickly.

'All moms know this stuff. It's on the Mom Test.

You have to know it, or they don't let you be a Mom.

We walked along in silence for 2 or 3 minutes, but she was evidently
pondering this new information.

'OH...I get it!' she beamed, 'So if you don't pass the test you have to
be

the dad.'

''Exactly,' I replied back with a big smile on my face.

When you're finished laughing, send this to a Mom.

Here is a Cloud Ballet Iris plant for your garden.

Could you help me by sending a plant back? Together we can help save rain forests.

I live at the beach, so I wear tanks all the time. I like the shoulder or even the lower back, if it could be designed right and in the right font. A tramp stamp would be...apropos, wouldn't it? I have a gifted art student who could work out a design for me probably.
