小学生の頃よりドラムに興味を持ち、中学では吹奏楽部でパーカッションを担当。ドラムセットを手に入れたのも中学時代。高校に入り吹奏楽部に席を置きながらもロックバンドでのプレイも盛んに行い、フュージョン・ミュージックにも目覚めSteve Gadd等のスーパードラマー達に大いに触発されたのもこの頃。高校入学と同時に猪俣猛主宰のドラムスクールにて本格的にレッスンを受ける。高校卒業と同時にバンドマンとしての活動を開始、六本木、赤坂を中心にキャバレー、クラブ等で演奏する。この頃、青山純氏のクリニックに参加し氏に激励されたのはその後の大きな励みになった。 20頃からはバンドを中心にセッション活動に励む。 23歳の頃に再び六本木のライブハウスでレギュラーに仕事を開始。元ガロの故・日高氏のバンドでドラムを務める。このバンドではギタリストの山口“IZZY”伊津巳氏、ベーシストの元・Alwaysの風祭東、キーボーディストの石塚卓氏と一緒でした。バンド解散後RCCドラムスクールの講師として活動開始。 40歳を前にして再びプレイヤーとして活動開始。現在はロックバンド“Troupes”を中心にセッション、松原のぶえのサポートで活動中。
