InfluencesMy influences are a very broad range of musical styles, I LOVE ALL MUSIC BABY! From my native country of Trinidad and Tobago styles such as Calypso, Soca, Jazz, Pop, Reggae, Funk, Soul, Gospel, R&B, Rock, Country, Opera, Classical, World Music and many others performed on "Steel Drums" the group I performed with was the Solo Harmonites, we played everything. Reggae: Bob Marley and the Wailers, Steel Pulse, UB40, Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer and many other unknown reggae artists. My two favorite reggae albums are Babylon by Bus and Handsworth Revolution by Steel Pulse and many others. Jazz/smooth Jazz: Stanley Clark, Herbie Hancock, Jaco, Tommy Shannon, Percy Jones, Miles Davis, Nat King Cole and many others. Funk: Parliafunkadelicment, George Clinton and ParlimentFunkadelic, James Brown, Bootsey Collins, Ohio Players, the Meters and many others. Soul: Marvin Gay, Otis Redding, Aaron Neville and many others. Pop: Jacksons, Baby Face, Guy, Prince, The Time and many others. World Beat: Fala, Baba Tungi, Johnny Clegg and Saavuka and many others. R&B: The Temptation, The Supremes, Smokey Robinson, Barry White, Isaac Hayes, Brothers Johnson of course and many others. To be continued Review from the Austin Chronicle of FUZE COURTNEY AUDAIN Fuze (Coinhead) Fuze is the self-produced album by Austinite Courtney Audain. The title is appropriate because each of the 11 well-produced original tracks drip with Audain's ability to seamlessly blend reggae, soul, R&B, blues and other styles into his own signature sound. The irie-laden Fuze also signifies Audain's genius in hosting musical friends to enhance the work, such as the gorgeous flamenco intro and outro by guitarist Teye in "The Longest Years," a tune that also features Charlie and Will Sexton, or the Jimmy Cliff-like version of Lennon and McCartney's "We Can Work It Out," replete with powerful vocal gesturing by Austin's own MC Overlord. Suffering at times from lyrical repetition, the righteously superfine Prince-y groove of "Born to Be a Star" is well-complemented by Malford Milligan's sweet soul backing vocals. More? "Let Our Love Grow" and "Give Love a Try" bring to mind Lenny Kravitz's Let Love Rule. Audain, who sings and plays at least seven instruments on Fuze, is surprisingly humble and credits God for his talent. In less-developed hands, these many influences and contributions might result in a hodgepodge of samples and examples, but Fuze wins as a uniquely accomplished debut. 3.5 Stars-- David Lynch Please visit this site for more Cyril Neville and Tribe 13 photos and video http://www.miracledreadproductions.com/cyril%20slideshow.html
Sounds LikePrince, Bob Marley, Curtis Mayfield, Marvin Gay, Asward and Steel Pluse. My music is a web of six diffrent styles of music all blended together. These are six styles of music that I've combined for the flavor of my FUZE (fuse) CD; Soca, reggae, R & B, Pop and east indian traditional over tones.

   About Courtney Audain
Courtney Audain is the Entreproducer of Coinhead Media Studios. In addition to his impressive musical career, Courtney has over 20 years experience as a sound engineer and producer. Courtney produced and recorded his first solo CD, Fuze, available from Coinhead Media Studios. He is currently producing and performing with many talented Austin musicians, including Austin favorite Sarah Hickman, Cyril Neville and Tribe 13 and several artists with forthcoming releases on the Coinhead Label. Musicography A native of Trinidad, West Indies, Courtney Audain has been performing since age three and at thirteen joined the Solo Harmonites Steel Orchestra, which won national championships three out of the five years he played with them. During high school he also played with a pop group that became teen idols performing live every Saturday morning on a local television program the "Dave Elcock Show". Now an established US citizen, Courtney immigrated from Trinidad to New York in 1979. He followed the music to Austin, Texas in 1981, where he joined the popular reggae band Pressure. When the group disbanded in 1988, Audain joined the popular cover band and stage act TRIK TRAX before recording and performing with Chris Thomas King. Next a fateful audition brightened his future when Courtney was selected for the coveted spot of bass player for Austin’s popular group Timbuk 3, who shot into the national spotlight with the hit The Futures Bright (I Gotta Wear Shades). After Timbuk 3 disbanded in 1995, Courtney spent the next few years recording and performing with the internationally renowned group The Killer Bees. In early 2001 Courtney played bass and percussion with the legendary rhythm section Double Trouble and a star studded lineup on Austin City Limits. Courtney has also performed with Peter Rowan, Kurt Nuemann, Ian Moore, Charlie and Will Sexton, Kris McKay, Root 1, Papa Mali and the Instigators, and numerous popular Austin musicians and bands. Courtney Audain is endorsed exclusively by RKS GUITARS. Visit rksguitars.com for more information about RKS awesome guitars.
