**Bruce will not check messages on a regular basis.**
Col. Bruce Hampton has been making music since he formed his first band in 1963. Col. Bruce has been in constant motion ever since leaving a trail of memorable live performances with his bands The Hampton Grease Band, The Late Bronze Age, and The Aquarium Rescue Unit. Along the way he starred in the cult classic movies "Outside Out" and "Sling Blade." The Colonel is currently playing a unique blend of blues and jazz with his band The Quark Alliance. Still rolling down the road, Col. Bruce continues his quest for the tonal center at each exit ..6.
Thank you for the chance to reconnect with you last night, backstage, in Gadsden, Alabama. Discussing a riddle you had started with me 13 years prior was such a treat! You guys gave a wonderful show, as always. You are loved by the Downtown Tavern...hope to have you back many times to come!
Greetings from Shadowville... been a fan since one night at Tokyo Beach in 1982 (long since demolished in Midtown Atlanta) where you played saxophone for me and my wife... at least it felt like you were playing just for us.
Thanks again for years of inspiration in all your various projects from Hampton Grease Band, to the new Quark Alliance.
Not sure you have the time, but I'd truly love to get your honest and unbiased feedback on a couple new tracks I posted.
Glenn (Phillips) has been super nice and gave really great critical feedback; he said the drums on the first track are "driving and hypnotic" : ) and I should turn down the hawk slightly and turn the vocals up a bit.
The re-mixes are done and I'm pretty sure both songs sound good now (hard to tell how it will sound when it's all smushed down to Mp3s and on so many different systems).
My very best to you, family and friends. -Sheriden
