I wanted to tell you something fun that I discovered last week. We were at Anne Hathaway's cottage in Stratford upon Avon and the guide was telling us about the room we were standing in and how Shakespeare and Anne Hathaway courted in that very room. He told us about the bacon cabinet where the hot bacon was kept which was reserved for only the most important guests. Then he pointed to the ceiling and said "here is where they kept the cold bacon, or the cold shoulder which they would give to everyone else, and hence the term "giving someone the cold shoulder". I'll bet you already knew all this...:)
