Crawling like a reptile through out phantom lands, bathed by sorrow, despair and agony, Costa Rican’s COLD GRIM steps into the underground metal scene back in mid 2007 with the only infernal aim to proclaim the supremacy of Darkness and human sorrow through its cutting veins grim like Black Metal! Being crafted in the perverted minds of OPUS ATRUM black metal band, Emperor of The Apocalypse ( Drums of Sheol ) and Abominatum (aka Eikemo) (sharpened wires of abomination).
These two demons, holding the banner of misanthropy upon their shoulders, started to compose what is being expected their first official recording material for the next months of 2008 with the most recent addition to the pack in MORBID FUNERAL/PAGANUS DOCTRINA’s vocalist Balpehor in the pulsing bass howls of Satan field… Music wise, for mortals to understand their sound, the band builds its essence under the influences of bands such MOONBLOOD,NARGAROTH,etc.. , in few words, ghastly, raw, primitive and uncompromised Black fucking Metal!
After some time, Balpehor left the band before recording their first CD, this due to personal matters, so Abominatum got to record the bass.
After the recording of the CD, the band contact with a friend and antichristian warrior, Lord Demogorgon, who is the vocalist of a Antichristian Costa Rican Black Metal band called Förnost he join the infernal legions of Cold Grim to complete the damned line up.
After a little time Lord Demogorgon was split up from the band and Cold Grim still as a two men band.
To perform in their "First Live Funeral", Cold Grim contact with Belzamuth to play the Bass Guitar in this ceremony, after this Ritual, Abominatum decide to reclude Belzamuth as a member of the band.
Due to personal matters and before the recording of the second Ritual, Emperor Of The Apocalypse, drummer and co-founder of Cold Grim left the band, we hope that the shadows be with him for all the eternity. Hails to him and thanks for his amazing skills aported to us.
The line up was reforced with the arrival of a new demon called Lord Behethrone (also in Kaintorment) in the guitars and vocals, a perfect duet with Abominatum to destroy the strings.
The looking for a drummer died with the joining to the band of Goatsoul, an old friend of Abominatum, this new and completed line up is now working on new material that is expected to be recorded at the middle of 2009.
So, now you are already aware of how the black plague of the Lord below is shadowing our lands with one of its new hellish spawn… Expect soon a new seed of hate, a new seed of dispersion, a new dawn for mankind and his pathetic existence… COLD GRIM has arisen!
