Pretentious band bio
Stage one: stubborn child phase
Child is born, naïve and impressionable. Full of hope and promise and a future of infinite possibilities, it’s character shapeless and formless yet definitely its own. But a stubborn son of a bitch, does things its own way. Will not listen to reason and authority? It knows where to stick it. Full of unbridled optimism and unique to a fault, it will learn some heartbreaking lessons that will shape the young person that comes next.
Stage two: The awkward teen
Ah, teenage years. So full of streetwise sass and uncontrollable hormones, innocence is threatened as parts of it fall to the temptation of decadence. The desire for approval being the sole driving force and the willingness to compromise values the defining vice. Though still an individual with many undiscovered talents being revealed every day, one can’t help but wish for some maturity to hit the little bastard, still confusing popularity with relevance…. But life has a way of making the young grow up fast.
Stage three: Late adolescence
When things held dear to the young adult begin to defy expectations in their ability to disappoint, the whole world seems to be caving in on itself. Many past beliefs and convictions now seem trivial as the pain of growing up brings a new perspective on what it means to exist. The young adult is at a crossroads, let go of the past and embrace new uncharted territory. Aspects of the self that no longer co-exist with the whole are replaced with unexpected character traits that had never exposed themselves before.
