   Nomad Brewing Co.'s Blurbs
About me:

Chris Post took up home brewing in 2000 and learned the basics of commercial brewing from the VT-based American Brewers’ Guild in 2003, after which he continued working at a NYC investment bank while interning at Chelsea Brewing Company in Manhattan.  He is president of the New York City Homebrewers’ Guild (NYCHG).  Since leaving the bank in April 2006, Chris has been working as cellarman and assistant brewer at Greenpoint Beerworks in Brooklyn, gaining intensive experience of all aspects of production brewing.  Chris splits his time between his house in the Berkshires and his girlfriend’s apartment in NYC.

Al Duvall has been a brewer for 14 years, leaving Hewlett-Packard in 1993 to learn the art of brewing at Wild Goose Brewery in Maryland. >From 1994 to 1997 he brought popular German-style beer to Manhattan as inaugural brewmaster at Zip City Brewing Co. After completing his brewery education in Vienna, Austria, Al returned to Manhattan as brewmaster at The Tap Room.  In 2000 he worked as cellarman at Pyramid Brewery in Berkeley, California to gain experience in large scale production brewing.  Al then returned to New York, rising to the position of head brewer at the Heartland brewpub chain’s contract brewery, Greenpoint Beer Works.  Al left Greenpoint in late 2006 to pursue consulting and other opportunities.

Alex Hall is ex-president of NYC’s most prominent beer enthusiast group, the Malted Barley Appreciation Society, and founder, co-editor and publisher of beer publications including the Gotham Imbiber and the Independent Imbiber (UK) - both championing the cause of local craft beer over bland, mass-produced national brands. He is Eastern US sales rep for UK Brewing Supplies, the regular cask ale columnist in “Ale Street News”, a member of the Guild of British Beer Writers, and the organizer of the tri-annual cask ale festival at The Brazen Head, Brooklyn. In addition he has somehow found the time every year since 1996 to run the beer side of a highly successful beer and arts festival ('Glastonwick') in England. Alex has lived in Brooklyn since 1999.

Chris Cuzme is a professional musician who has toured, extensively with Chris Berry and PANJEA, The String Cheese Incident, Elwood, Slick Rick and others.  He is a partner in his East Village local where he is contributes to beer selection and organizes tasting events based on food and beer pairings.  He has organized the live music line-up at Brewtopia, NYC’s largest beer festival several years in a row.  Cuzme is also Secretary of the NYCHG , in which role in 2006 he helped organize and present a nationally-recognized beer education program for New Yorkers to become knowledgeable and perceptive beer critics.  Cuzme left his daygig as a research compliance associate in financial services in 2006 to pursue his dual vocations of great music and fine beer.
