Also, pretty much anything we've ever listened to: If we had to start by naming a few bands, some major influences are: Deftones, Pink Floyd, Tool, Sevendust, TRUSTCompany, Pennywise, 3 Doors Down, Dave Matthews Band... etc.. It would be impossible to list all of the influences the band shares, so we'll just stop there.
Sounds Like
We sounded like ourselves with a whole lot of influences.
The name itself means, “A severe, immediate change in the weather.”
Nothing could ring more true for this band. Originating in early 2000, ColdSnap was a melodic, post-hardcore band playing with the likes of Kittie and Adema, playing a near-headlining 2nd stage slot at The Lollapalooza Festival, winning Local MIC awards, and working the crowd into a frenzy with their heaviness and angst-ridden lyrics. ColdSnap has since evolved with a line-up change and a new, more mature, honest sound.
Their singer, Chris, explained this best during a show.
”We play honest, true-to-life music. Were out to make people think, and were out to make someone feel more than anger and angst. We’ve all been through our share of life, and we’ve done it together, and we want people to listen and connect with that.”
ColdSnap unfortunately disbanded March of 2007. We thank all the fans for their continued support. We've left the songs up for your listening pleasure and wish you all very well for the future.
