  • Bio

..We're a young and up and coming band from Chapel Hill, North Carolina. We're all either 16 or 17. We like harmonies, C7, and playing in the dark. ..In addition to playing music, we dabble in ravenous eating, trading CD's, making our own merch, staying up too late, and discussing sammitch anatomy. ..We employ a full team of dancers that includes: Jabari Foust (Dancemaster General) and Big Einer Nicholas Oliver "Eno" Slotnic. ..Big thankyous to our families and Gigi Leonard for their tireless support as roadies and groupies. ..Cole Park has always been a band focused on having fun and that takes pride in how that mindset affects their music. From the band club at Woods Charter School, where Matt and Gabe first jammed, to the talent shows, where they gained Wesley and Alex, Cole Park has enjoyed steady growth and maturation as a band and as friends in the past few years. They've been playing regularly since October of 2008 and under the name Cole Park since September 2009. In February of 2010, Joe MacPhail of Old 86 joined the group. So far, they like having him around. ..Sitting somewhere between pop, blues, indie, and rock and roll, Cole Park's sound has been described as diverse, tight, and just plain fun. The name comes from the Cole Park Plaza, where Alex, Matt, Wesley, and former member Gabe went to school and had many a great time eating Torero's Mexican food and Dollar Genral snacks. And, although Joe never attended Woods, his contribution to the band's persona fits in perfectly with the feel of Cole Park Plaza that the other three members hold so dear.
