Coley have been playing music together in various guises for over ten years. Coley itself were formed back in 2001, initially as an acoustic duo featuring Dan and Andrew, but gradually expanded to a full band with the addition of Matt on drums and Andrew’s brother Jon on guitar. Eventually Will (Guitar/vocals) was added to the line up in between his university studies, which he has now successfully completed.
The band is influenced by a wide range of music and bands – such as Blur, The Beatles, The Charlatans, Oasis, Nick Drake to name but a few. Coley play a mixture of both their own, original compositions, as well as cover songs for their function/party sets.
Coley have written over 30 songs together as well as some of their older tunes from their previous band ‘The Fifth Elephant’. Coley’s songs vary from acoustic numbers to more straight ahead indie/rock. When asked to describe their music, the band answer, after much head-scratching and ‘erming’ and ‘ahhing’ that it is both funky and folky. It also goes down exceedingly well with the punters…The band have collected a small, yet perfectly formed following over the past couple of years who go love their catchy tunes.

Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?
A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:
Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella
Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.
Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.
I encourage all to visit the YouTube page to learn more (Show support! Rate! Comment!) and responsibly circulate as widely as possible, here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaIim3Rj7L4
