Colin began playing guitar at the age of 11, and has been singing since the dawn of his being. After forming various bands with different combinations of friends; one formation, Abstact Relations, was the only band to play live consistently. As lead singer, songwriter, and guitarist in Abstract Relations, Colin and the band played week after week at HammerHeadz in Queens, New York. The band had a decent following for a group at the age of 14.
By the time Colin was 16, he formed another band; Spring. Playing shows at places like The Right Track Inn located in Freeport, New York, the band did not continue when they disbanded before they left for college.
Colin continued to play music publicly in college and formed the band Fountainhead upon completion of his degree. Fountainhead went on to play many shows in NYC and the Tri-state area. Acme Underground, The Hard Rock Cafe, and Arlene Grocery were among the many places they played. Fountainhead was offered a deal with an imprint on Sony Music, but the deal was lost after Sony Music CEO Tommy Mattola was forced to resign.
After a short while longer with Fountainhead, Colin left to pursue a solo project. He paired with engineer, producer, musician David Swope and made the critically acclaimed debut record "Songs to Make You Feel" followed by "Secrets I Can't Keep" in late 2007.
In November of 2007, Colin was offered a deal with CBS mainstay and daytime drama "Guiding Light." Four of Colin's songs would be used in the 2008 season of the show for recurring themes: "It's All For You," "My Dear," "Coke & Trees," and "In the Mood"
2008 has already brought and continues to bring opportunities to Colin's door. He has recently launched his company Orphididies Productions under which he operates all his music licensing and sales. He also has signed a world-wide distribution agreement for Orphididies Productions with INGrooves, the largest digital distributor in the world. Colin recently was hired as a custom songwriter by LakeHouse Sound in California scoring Film, TV, Video Games and Commercials.
