No Choice For A Beggar

Colin Reece CD ’No Choice for A Beggar’ and Bully Wee Band CD ’50 Channels - Live’ available from the online shop at Celtic Ceramics and Crafts or as downloads from the download service at Woven Wheat Whispers.

Spectre Of A Smile (Reece)
Colin Reece - Vocal, Guitar and Keyboards
A fictional story, set in medieval times, of a grieving husband and his departed wife who returns each year on the anniversary of her death to dine with her family and friends.
The sad rule is that he may only look but must not touch.

Preacher Ring The Bell (Reece)
Colin Reece - Lead and Backing Vocals, Guitar, Keyboards, Bass and Drums
Deborah Joy - Backing Vocals
Karen Taylor
- Backing Vocals
This is the age old story of the priest who sold his soul and his flock to the Devil and now it’s his turn.

Barney (Reece)
Colin Reece - Vocal, Guitar, Keyboards, Bass and Percussion
Watch out for Barney. Every pub has one.

Hold Me In Your Arms (Taylor/Walker)
Colin Reece - Lead and Backing Vocals, Guitar, Keyboards, Bass and Drums
Karen Taylor - Lead and Backing Vocals
Drew Millin - Backing Vocals
Tee Marcheur
- Slide Guitar
If you love kids, you’ll love this song. If you don’t love kids, you’re on the wrong page.

Easy Lady (Reece)
Colin Reece - Vocal, Guitars, Mandolin, Banjo, Bass and Tambourine
The first song I ever wrote way back in the year nineteen seventy somethingorother.

Alice (Here’s Your Wonderland) (Reece)
Colin Reece - Lead and Backing Vocals, Guitars, Keyboard and Percussion
Ivan Jewel
- Backing Vocals, Piano and Keyboards
A song for a lovely young lady who couldn’t make up her mind.
Her name wasn’t Alice but she knows who she is and like the last line says I wonder if she ever thinks of me at all.

The Rich, The Poor And Those That Want More (Reece)
Colin Reece - Lead and Backing Vocals, Guitars, Ancient Roland Vocoder Plus VP330, Keyboards and Drums
Ian Cutler - Bridge Aquila 4 String Electric Violin
Deborah Joy - Accusing Angel Whispers
Colin Reece, Deborah Joy, Karen Taylor and Drew Millin
- The Marldon and Plainmoor Barefoot and Brassic Purgatory Choir
These last three tracks are deliberately linked. They take on the theory that it would be easier for a rich man to pass through the eye of a needle than to enter the gates of Heaven. (I’d better hope I don’t make a million out of this album).
The very first part may seem badly recorded at first hearing. In fact it was. It’s part of a long lost tape recorded on four track cassette in 1990. Found again by my old friend Bob Terry, I decided to expand on it and include the result on the new album.
The scene is set with our wealthy villain being escorted through Purgatory. The Devil’s band is playing and the Devil, as we all know, being an expert fiddler, joins in. The rich man pleads his case and is then escorted by the accusing angels to meet Old Nick himself..................

The Old King’s Lament (Reece)
Colin Reece - Vocal, Guitar, Keyboard and Bass
Judgment is made and we are left in no doubt which way he who makes his money from dishonest means goes.

Farewell To Reality (Reece)
Colin Reece - Keyboards
A light hearted tune to tell you it’s only a story - or is it?

Colin Reece is a singer, songwriter, arranger and entertainer originally from London but is now based in the South West of England in Torquay, Devon.

Now enjoying a quieter life pub gigging around the Torbay area, with the occasional burst of energy to perform in some of his old Kentish haunts, and the odd outing a couple of times a year to resurrect The Bully Wee Band with Jim Yardley, Fergus Feely and Ian Cutler.

Colin's latest album of original material 'No Choice For A Beggar' can be obtained either directly via this site or as a download from the download service at Woven Wheat Whispers.

Have ‘brothers’ within the Freemasons aided and abetted in heinous crimes?

Our research, prompted by a reader of part of the original manuscript, has led us to closely examine the facts before us. Our research has indeed been, both fascinating and somewhat frightening to discover what goes on in our society. It is for these reasons that we now feel it is in the public’s interest to be given some of our research material.

While we compile a summary of our case with the conclusions of our research we would urge you to read, ‘The Brotherhood’ by Stephen Knight; published by Harper Collins.
Unfortunately, this book is not readily obtainable from some bookshops but can be purchased from www. amazon. co. uk .

It is an eye-opening and interesting read!

Thank you for your continued support.

With best wishes
Sue

I have accurately recorded the events near the time of my brother's death and what followed; they combine to reveal an intriguing story. Did he die naturally or was he helped in some way? Has a crime or two taken place? Some may think so. Maybe there is a conspiracy, if so how far it may extend is unclear. I am certain that nothing is quite as it should be. Nevertheless this account shows a fascinating view of human nature, society and the establishment in the United Kingdom. The story is so bizarre that it could well be fiction, and that is why I have added "A story of truth or fantasy" to the title. What is frightening is that it is all absolutely true.

Dec 12 2008 10:43 PM

Seasonal greetings to all,

If you have looked at our website recently you will have seen the announcement that Mojo Studios is to close some time in 2009 due to the premises being redeveloped.

However, until that day arrives (which is subject to the usual legal stuff) we are operating as usual with just one change...

The rate has been slashed to just £100 per day!

...and the residential rate is now £150 per day!

So if you are thinking of recording a new demo, EP or album then now is the perfect opportunity to get the best production at rock bottom prices.

You can email us for details at info@mojostudios.co.uk or call us on 07813 600363.

thanks!
