Colin is a multi instrumentalist, singer songwriter who currently resides in the west coast of Scotland in a place known to many as ‘Glas Vegas’. Playing Accordion, Piano / keys and Sax keeps him fairly active in the crazy freelance world. For many years Col was involved with the successful electro punk / dance outfit Policechief – working alongside the likes of, N.E.R.D, Justin Timberlake (MTV awards 2004), Basement Jaxx, Death in Vegas, the Lo Fidelity All Stars, DJ Shadow and the Stereo MC’s.
A candidate for Scotland's most varied background, Col's diverse musical past includes; playing saxophone & keys with the Million Dollar Disco Orchestra, as well as arranging and orchestrating their horn & string sections. As an accordionist he has performed & toured with some amazing world artists including Tango quintet Maelasta and Buenos Aires born bandoneon player Joaquin Amenabar. His work in the Celtic scene has included performances with critically acclaimed Scottish instrumental Duo Angus Lyon and Ruaridh Campbell, festival work home and abroad with international bands Skerryvore and the Midden.
An active composer, Colin has created music for various artists, advertisements and films, including composing the music featured in the international advertising campaign for the world renowned Scottish ‘Springbank Whiskey’ and recording with award winning composer Craig Armstrong on the soundtrack of the film Love Actually.
Now for the first time, left to his own devices; cue the launch of Colin’s first solo venture. "Days for the Driven" is an honest & determined collection of Colin's words & music, displaying his passion & versatility as a songwriter & musician.
