FRA: Collectif créé en 2006 réunissant les arts visuels et la pop music au sein d'un concept original : le PopMovie.
Le PopMovie est aussi bien issu du clip que du film d'artiste. C'est un objet hybride, à la fois habillage visuel pour musique et bande son pour petit film. Dans un PopMovie, le lien entre le son et l'image est quasi organique. Ils sont conçus dès le départ pour fonctionner ensemble.
Ce projet reprend également le principe des "concept albums" crée par des artistes comme Bowie ou Gainsbourg (Ziggy Stardust ou Melody Nelson par exemple); il intègre à cela une dimension visuelle.
Dans une approche légère et abstraite, inspirée du pop art, les PopMovies évoquent des histoires, des sensations, des impressions et parlent du quotidien d'une génération à travers les objets et plus généralement "les choses" (comme les définissait Perec) qui les entourent. Qui nous entourent.

PopMovie comes from the clip as well as from the artist's movie. It is a hybrid that brings the image to the music and the sound to the picture.
In the PopMovie, the bond between the sound and the picture is natural. They were created for each other.
This project takes the albums concept such as Bowie's or Gainsbourg's (Zippy Stardust or Melody Nelson) and takes it to a visual level.
The PopMovies bring back generation's stories, sensations and everyday feelings through the objects or things that surround them. The ones that surrounds us.
