About me: My name is Hartley W. Leacock, Jr. As you can see, I'm from Barbados, Bridgetown to be exact and very proud of my heritage. I carry the Leacock name proudly in honor of my father, Hartley W. Leacock, Sr., who passed January 5th, 2007. He was my inspiration in music and instilled the dream in me to perform. My father was also a trumpeter and performed with The Mighty Sparrow among many others. My heavenly Father provided the passion; the passion to be the best I can be in my music and every aspect of my life, to honor him in all that I do, to never give up on hope, to love deeply, to use my abilities to instill hope in others that their dream may become a reality as well.
I pray daily for God's direction, I love my family and my friends. I would like to thank my wife, Jacquie, for her support while I fullfil my dream. I am very proud of my children, Jason who is currently serving in the US Army, Joshua who is currently serving in the US Navy and Athena who is in middle school; though I don't get to see them as often as I would like, they are the light of my life.
My dream is to obtain my masters degree in music. I would like to one day own my own record label and as previously mentioned, assist other new up and coming artists. I have begun to write music. My first single, Because of You, is available for purchase and I'm greatly looking forward to completing my first full CD. I love to perform and will continue seeking venues to express my music and style as God opens doors. Genres of music is Christian, Smooth Jazz, Neo-Soul, R&B, Reggea and Soca.
