Greetings, myspace friends! I am a poet, nature photographer and beginner web designer. I began writing poetry as a child, but became more serious about the craft in the last 5 years. That was when my father passed away, and writing helped me deal with the immense grief. I love nature photography and have been known to plan vacation dinners around sunsets! I have taken several html coding classes and design my own websites for my e-zine, Blue Turtle Crossing.

My sestina poem "The Keeper of The Hatteras Light" recently won first place in the Love/Romance category at the Open Mic Contest at Legacy Writers at Harmony Pub!
I am happily married and have two wonderful children, Vince and Katie. Vince is a senior at Florida State University studying Info Tech, and Katie is a sophomore at St. Thomas Aquinas High School. I am so proud of both of them! I have a tiger cat named Tommy, who is my little shadow. I was born in Maryland and currently reside in South Florida. Hubby & I plan to retire to Northern Virginia in just a few years, so I can be closer to my family....whom I dearly miss. I am from a large family, of Irish & German descent.

This is a video my son put together in memory of his friend, Rachel Morningstar Hoffman, who was kidnapped and brutally murdered on May 7, 2008. This tragic death has devastated her family and her friends. Rest in Peace, dear Rachel!
