I will spare you all the "she started playing piano at 4 years old" stories. Music for almost all musicians is an intricate part of their life and it is no different for me. I admit I don't listen to as much music as I should but I do appreciate on many levels the music I tune in to. Yes, I studied music in college. Yes, I still have a 'normal paying gig' and I do struggle with wild mood swings and depression from time to time. As an artist reading this, I'm sure you understand all the levels of self-doubt of creation as well as the elation it brings.
Music was never a choice for me and when I tried to stray from it, I got a spiritual kick in the ass. So, here I am. Just having you here reading this and listening to the music on this page is a blessing to me, so thank you.
"The Rosetta Hotel" is a spiritual trip I took this year. It's about all the different faces/masks/characters I conjure in life and some of the situations that cause them to surface. It's musically diverse ranging from rock, pop, hick and even a polka for fun.
